Marcel Vermil/Aaeght
Basics and cosmetic: Age? Unknown but looks to be about 24 Date of Birth? Alban Heruin Hair color? Bright Red though during winter it tends to be deeper near the roots. Eye color? Bright red eyes, though usually bloodshot. Skin color/nationality? Extremely pale skin though sometimes she sports a light sunburn due to her lack of melatonin. Accent (if any)? Slight Irish accent though it's generally lost in the speediness of her speech, occasionally peppered with stutters if she gets too excited or nervous. Height? 6', though she's about 6'4" with her heels on when she wears them Weight? 190 lbs though a good portion of it has ended up being muscle, before she started training her physical strength she was about 165 lbs. Tattoos? None Piercings? None Birthmarks? None Disfigurements? None Scars? Bunch of tiny ones collect all over her body until she rebirths generally from battles and klutz accidents. Do they have any nicknames? Aaeght is actually a nickname. Her birthname is Marcel Vermill. She eventually stated forgetting her name after the fomor possession and remembering it's name. She does not have a clue either about the possession.
Where did they come from? Aaeght was born and raised in the early years of Dunbartonâs founding. How do they usually dress? She normally likes to wear dresses, she finds pants annoying and scratchy. Shorts are sometimes acceptable if she thinks she will going into a fight with her paladin transformation.
What do they wear to sleep? If she's sleeping indoors in a private room she sleeps nude, if she's either sleeping in public or with friends she has a night dress that goes down to her knees with elbow length sleeves, or she'll sleep in whatever she's wearing anyway.
Do they wear jewelry? Jewelry is generally a no-no since it's easily lost or broken, so she mostly keeps it in a little box, but if she's going out or getting dressed up sometimes she'll throw on jewelry someone got her. Is there anything about their appearance they wish they could change? She wishes she wasn't so tall. It makes her feel nervous and awkward especially since it seems to make others feel uncomfortable. If it wasn't for her height as well she'd also like bigger breasts, but as is she thinks it'd be weird since her chest is eye height with a lot of people. How would they look as the opposite sex? As the opposite gender she'd be toned with shoulder length hair and an awkward cheesy smile constantly. The only difference is her height would probably be less annoying to her. What do they smell like? Why (do they wear the scent or does it occur naturally)? She generally smells like grass and light sweat. She bathes daily but doesn't use anything other than a slab of unscented soap. Do they have an accurate mental picture of their appearance (how they see themselves versus how the world sees them) Not in the least. Generally people see her as a very outgoing wanderer who comes and leaves in intervals with passion. She generally doesn't think about herself or her presence though sometimes she forgets that her words and actions actually can affect others and are tangible. Overall she doesn't even remember half the things she says or does.
Favorites and habits: What are some of your characterâs hobbies? She's not a woman of the cloth but she loves helping out in Dunbarton to collect holy water from both Kristell and Manus. It's her favorite item to gift people and hand out in passing so she likes to keep a good supply on her and finds the tasks fun. She also enjoys commercing a she gets to bring supplies between towns and beat up rude guys trying to steal stuff. Beyond that the only relaxing hobby she has is herbalism and potion making which she loves to make silly concoctions that sometimes won't do anything but create a certain smell or make someone purple for the day.
What do they do with their time? Most of her free time is peppered with naps though. Generally someone is there to make sure she doesn't sleep too long, but generally she's sapped of energy pretty easily to the point she feels sick. Favorite color? She doesn't have a favorite she likes just about any and all colors, but most of the items friends give her are red and black so those colors due hold a special place in her heart. Favorite music artists? Movies or TV shows? Books or authors? Actors? Generally speaking she doesn't remember anything enough to have a favorite, though if she witnesses something listening, watching reading, and think it's good she'll proclaim that it's her favorite and the best she's ever witnessed. (Barruch has seen her do this quite a few times with the same food since they normally don't eat out enough for her to remember she's had it before) Political stance? Are they active in politics or do they not care? She's got no clue about politics. She trusts everyone basically though she does have a sweet spot for some royalty such as Itsumonkisu. What are some of their pet peeves? It makes her cranky generally if someone mentions her napping or terrible memory just because it makes her uncomfortable and alarmed since it doesn't seem to be an issue for anyone else. Beyond that the only other pet peeve she has is simple, don't be an asshole. What sort of gifts do they like? It could be the most useless item to her and she'll fin a way to treasure it. She's gotten elven clothing once or twice by accident from Dah and she keeps it still just to look at and say, "Look what I got!". Any gift is amazing to her since she keeps them on shelves hoarded in her small house to remember things frequently. What is their favorite time of day? Her favorite time of day is afternoon since towns tend to be buzzing and active with many people.
Favorite weather? Her favorite weather is bright any sunny though to her skins dismay since it normally means an easy sunburn.
Season? That's why her favorite season is winter though, so the air is cool on her warm skin. Where do they like to spend their time? She likes to spend her time generally in Dunbarton, sometimes in Tir Chonaill. Though she makes active efforts to avoid water taller than her as she cannot swim and her first death was due to drowning. Favorite food? Favorite drink? Hot drinks, soft drinks, or alcohol? Aaeght really likes a campfire cooked meal of ribs, beans, maybe having purchased some bread earlier that day. She really mostly drinks water, sometimes ale. Really any meal is her favorite as long as it's not sugary and if it's shared with close friends. Favorite animal? She has a lot of loves because she thinks all creatures are awesome, but unicorns are her absolute favorite. Do they have any pets? Do they want any? She has a plethora of wild pets that generally come and go as they please showing up occasionally for food or a cuddle. She leaves her windows open for a good portion of them to get in and out as need be. What relaxes them? Generally she's either active and hyper or she's completely exhausted. The best way to get her to relax is to have a long dialogue such as a story whether it be what happened to them that day, a play, or tale the milletians share. Do they have any bad habits? She tends to over exert herself, making too many promises and trying to do as much as she can on her own. She likes to think of herself as a busy body but she just doesn't have enough time of day.
Resources and abilities: Where did they learn their abilities? Her cleric abilities were natural even in her first birth she could heal small scratches on people when she was a child. Through her rebirths she perfected and worked hard on them. Her fire magics she learned from a woman named Matsuki who also taught her how to make simple foods, though Aaeght doesn't remember much about her. She remembers yellow, white and black dresses with blonde hair, though for her face she generally thinks of a blonde bear. Beyond those her other magic she's started learning tidbits from Neranos, Aphy, and Razae though she has trouble keeping up with their advanced magic, it's a bit of an overload for her mentally. Combat came from Gutter and Barruch, though she's having trouble remembering Gutter's name and some finer details. Lancing she's picked up on her own. It's a much slower learning process for her than magic due to the range of the weapon. She's more accustomed to either good distance from the enemy or being in their face, so lancing frustrates her a little, though she finds it fun because it reminds her of knights in fairy tales. If they have an income, where does it come from? Here, there, and every where. Sometimes people give or loan her money other times its been so long since she checked her bank account that she forgets it exists and it accrues a good amount of money. Otherwise she doesn't really charge anyone for anything ever whether it be a heal, food, anything. Do they have a job? Do they like it? How do they feel about their co-workers? She doesn't have a real job per se besides wandering do-gooder. But in her first life she actually used to be a sheep herder. She'd travel them between Dunbarton and Tir. She stopped doing so after she died the first time. She loved it and sometimes misses it, but it makes her feel uncomfortable and nauseous the idea of herding again. Lots of sheep bleating have the same effect on her. Why do they have their resources? How long have they had them, and how have they served the character over time? (Ex. Contacts, money, political power, fame, etc.) Some people just find her infectious and enjoy her company so they keep tabs on her. Her only resource really is her friends, she doesn't really have any notoriety amongst the milletians, but her fomor possession does among it's kind. It's gotten her some money as well as connections to items and some events that otherwise wouldn't have happened in her life. Though some of it she wishes would just go away. Such as Fyvv, no clue where she met him but he sticks to her like glue when he finds her and she has no clue why. Where does your character live? Why did they choose it, and how did they acquire it? How do they handle intruders (graciously? violently?)? Describe the space. She lives near Dunbarton as it makes her feel same and comfortable since she remembers a good portion of the people, walkways, traditions, etc. She actually lives in her parents home which was passed down to her after they passed though she doesn't remember much about that besides the fields with the fences reminding her of sheep herding. (She's cleared out all the pens and such, no more sheepies). As long as said intruder is not being violent toward her/anyone else or taking her items she doesn't mind. She's had a few people hungry, sick, or hurt come in need and she's taken care of them. It's a good chunk of land since it used to be for herding, mostly it's just fields now with fencing though there's an area near the house that she's taken to planting herbs at with a poorly made shed to make potions in. The house is small two rooms, an out house, kitchen and a living room. It's cluttered and packed with all the items she owns. Sometimes there's animals hiding there, she once had to relocate a family of raccoons that had moved in after she had gotten lost for a few months in Iria. What are some of your characterâs more notable merits and flaws (including physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, etc.)? How did they develop? How has this helped or hindered them in the past? For merits she's generally honest and gentle with good intentions. Her body is in good physical shape as she watches what she eats very carefully and actually full on disapproves of sweets. Emotionally she tries to be in a positive place and to rub it on over to others. Her mental capacity is lacking immensely though. Sometimes if it's been a stressful day she'll forget someone was even riding on her horse with her and go to dismount and almost kick them in the face. She's very scatter brained and forgetful. As well as while she's in good shape, her dexterity is plain awful, she could easily miss the broad side of the barn with a cannon, though over the years she's learned effectively to run in heels.
Most of her development to get to where she is now is just living one life at a time and just slowly getting more accustomed or better with practice at things. She also tries to out of sight out of mind things, which with he recollection of events isn't too hard.
While she gets better at skills and remembering history it's been very hard for her to focus on her own personal lives with people's names and faces slipping away, memories of birthdays when she remembered her birthday and late night sleep overs with guild members fading. To make up for it she tries to do as much as she can with people as big as she can make it. Meeting for tea may as well be a holiday worthy event for her and she'll try to make it that way. How are they with technology? Bad, nope, don't do it. Don't. She has broken multiple alchemy cannons as well as a few guns. Raz and Aphy learned the hard way that she is not meant to touch anything with gears or delicate parts. Are they specially qualified in any particular field? Would they be considered at the top of the field? No. Dear god no. Don't you understand no. Have they ever been publically acknowledged for anything? (Ex. Nobel Prize) Breaking things the way things have never been broken before. Is there anything theyâve deliberately sought to improve at? Tried failed got expensive gave up. At least as far as technology goes.Otherwise anything she's learned she's deliberately sought to improve at. Do they speak more than one language? Technically no. But he does have a strong animal empathy which almost equals out to another language.
Relationships and history: What is their family history like? How does it affect them? How do they feel about their family? How does their family feel about them? Her family was just simple sheep herders, her mother and father ran a small shop out of Dunbarton partial butcher and also sold raw wool, spun wool, and items made of wool such as blankets and sweaters. Her entire family was non-milletian humans. She didn't really speak much to her aunt or uncles as they had moved over to Iria when she was young to settle the camp. She loved her family dearly when she was younger and vice versa. As for herself she's basically forgotten her family line. There's a few books buried in her home with photos and letters but she doesn't recognize them as being personal to her any longer. Her descendants that are left just basically remember her as a young herding girl who had drowned herself in Lake Neagh. Some would call her a disappointment for doing so as it was thought to have been a suicide. What were they like as a child? She was active as a child. Growing up she spent most of her time in Dun helping being a crier for the shop as people thought she was cute with her pigtails and chubby cheeks.
What was their favorite toy? Her favorite toy when she was extremely little up until she was about 7 was a little wooden sheep on wheels with a bell tied on a string she could pull around.
Favorite game? For games she liked tag and hide-and-go-seek, although as she got to be a preteen and the main one transferring sheep to town to town she would guess which sheep was which (as she had named them all) or how much more has the moss grown on that rock since last trip.
Playmates? While she also played with children in town there wasn't really a best friend or crush or anything. What did they want to be when they grew up? Life was fairly simple at that time, all she never dreamed about was running her inn for the weak and weary though she wanted it to be done as charity so travelers didn't have to worry about renting rooms or going to bed hungry. Describe their best and worst memories from childhood. She has absolutely no memories from childhood, though is she could remember her favorite would be standing at the unicorn statue in Dunbarton with her parents while they released a bunch of flowers on her birthday since it was windy for her seventh birthday. Her least favorite was getting caught in a small flood trading some of the flock to Tir and some of the lambs drowning outside of town when she was eleven. Where (and when) did they grow up? How did they view it as a child, and did that change as they matured? How do they feel about the place now? Dunbarton is mostly where she was born and raised, though during her first life when she was born it had only been a town for about 10 years at the time. To her it's mostly the same little town especially if she's recently visited Tara or Emain. She doesn't remember much though about when it was dirt roads and maybe 50 townspeople. No matter what though Dunbarton feels like home, even just walking the roads her feet remember the dips in the cobblestone just from having lived there so long. Do they, or have they in the past, had a mentor? What was their relationship with this person, and how has it changed since then?
What sort of education have they had? Do they want more? Who was their idol growing up? Who was the first person they fantasized about? She's had a few mentors as mentioned back in the skills area. She's had good relationships with them, very familial in nature. Back in her first life education and schooling wasn't much of a thing, there was how to read and basic math really. Most of her learning has come from people and what was forgotten by people has become muscle memory. She always wants to learn and grow though whether it be how to make a potion, the history of Tara, or the distance between towns. As for idols growing up her parents were mainly who she looked up to; they were the most important people in her life. She wasn't active in church or focused on politics, beyond that the only other person was the healer who would give her bandages in exchange for wool. The first person she fantasized about though would had to have been Barruch. Which was pretty awkward between her and her first husband. There was something about the incubus that made her skin vibrate and her muscles unable to relax around him. Ever since that has been her main rock though he has trouble keeping up with her and finding out where she's wandered off to in the night. Who is their closest friend, and why? What do they like to do with this person? She no longer has a 'closest' friend being she has been unable to find or track down Gutter in a long time, even forgetting her name a lot of the time, but when she was first rebirthing Gutter had befriended her and stuck with her for those lives. Gutter was the brawn and Aaeght was the healing as neither really had brains... They mostly liked to adventure, get drunk, sleep under the stars, ride horses bareback, and wrestle in the hot springs. They were mostly just too energetic gooftards with no responsibility or cares. Do they have any rivals? Who and why? Depending there's a few. Cide is her main rival as they have very different moral grounds and tend to somehow fall into the same groups of people. Mostly they humiliate and belittle one another. It's only ever come to blows with Aaeght's fomor possession in control and in the end those two have come to bond. Phoarr is technically Aaeght's friend, but both have nearly killed each other due to both being possessed and their possessors having a long drown out history of war between one another. Have they ever been betrayed? By who, and how did it affect them? She's never been betrayed but really even if she had she'd probably have forgotten about it. Sex and Romance: What is their sexual orientation? Her orientation is shapeless, thereâs been a few crazy nights where bodies were just blurs and shapes. She purely looks at people for who they are, their container matters little to her.
Do they ever question it? Sheâs never even really thought of people having preferences much less questioning her own. When did they lose their virginity? Who to? Where? What was it like? Sheâs no memory at all of the event but it was late one evening when she was possessed, a bandit robbery was going terribly against some royal guard, so under possession she helped the bandit and through adrenaline and passion they ended up banging at his campsite. If she ever were to hear of that event sheâd probably just lie on the floor and die a little inside at her bad choices, assumingly while drunk. What is their favorite sexual fantasy? None in particular thatâs been reoccurring though she sometimes plays out little scenarios in her head. If she sits there staring at someone calmly and her face just starts turning red, generally itâs a good sign. Do they have any particular fetishes or kinks? One in particular, though depending on who sheâs with sheâll be dom, sub, or have a neutral control with the person or people sheâs with, though she does have a touch of voyeurism and does enjoy having sex outdoors/camping or sneaking off to an area like a closet. The one particular is paladins, really get her hot and bothered under her petticoat; especially in armor. Whatâs the strangest thing theyâve ever done in bed? Herself not really, sheâs not the most imaginative; she just sort of goes primal. Possessed thereâs no question of the terrible happenstances and decisions of that fomor. Is there anything in particular that they wonât do? Pretty staple stuff of lolno: bestiality, watersports, scat. What are they attracted to in a partner? She looks for people with kinds hearts that care about the wellbeing others and donât look to take advantage of others. Drunk they just basically have to be nice for the time theyâre talking to her and if things go down they go. If applicable: who is their current partner, and what attracted the character to them? How did they meet? How long have they been together? What kind of a relationship is it? Do they have any plans for the future? Her current significant other is Barruch. It originally started off the day she met him he was in paladin transformation riding a unicorn when she was up against a troll who had spotted her back in the days when Gutter was her meat shield. The camped together for a few weeks after that and bonded. Even though he should be evil in nature he was gentle and kind and about everything which really made her melt. Theyâve been together for years throughout many deaths and rebirths trying to be at one anotherâs side as often as possible. Thereâs no plans for the future though as they already with Aaeght donât have much of a past. The present in their focus. What would be their perfect date? Aaeght doesnât really think of dates as an actual thing, like planning a âdateâ/âgoing outâ. Spending time with someone in general is her favorite. Describe one of the characterâs past relationships and what was significant about it. One of the more untouched important ones was her marriage to Avalon. It was more of a friendship with a sprinkling of sex. He was concerned for her wellbeing with her poor combat skills and memory loss, so in marriage hey stood by one another. Have they ever hurt someone they loved? She does sometimes, not purposely though. If itâs been a while she wonât recognize someone, or sheâll forget their birthday, or that they were going to have lunch that day, or they day they went shopping together. As much as it hurts them, it hurts her as well. Do they fall in love easily? As far as sheâs concerned thereâs many different types of love, so it doesnât take much for her to be attached to someone.
Future: What are their dreams? She doesnât have any particular goals being she focuses from one day to the next. Though she would like to figure out whatâs wrong so she could live more like a normal milletian. Are there places they want to go? Where and why? None that she hasnât been before; though she normally forgets what areas are like that water has to be traveled to se such as Iria, Belvast, and Ceo Island. If these donât apply already: do they want to get married? Married and divorced, and re-married!
Have kids? No, due to race differences stuff fits in the holes but it ainât the right stuff to make chilluns. Would they ever consider adopting a child? Why or why not? Theâve talked about it,but with Aaeghtâs memory they worry about drawbacks from that. Do they have any prominent sensory associations? (Ex. the smell of their motherâs perfume, the sound of ice cracking under their feet as a child, etc.) Sheep beating and deep water both make her feel sick and dizzy. Who do they want to meet? She wants to meet Itsumonkisu and kiss her hand while she is transformed as paladin and Itsu is in royal garb. (Sheâs forgotten sheâs met her but she always re-imagines them meeting like thus) What about them is heroic? The fact that she wants to do good no matter the cost really since she is a milletian death doesnât apply much to her. What would the character be like in their old age? I imagine her sitting on her porch in a rocking chair passing out homemade healthy food to kids and telling them crazy made up stories. Describe one (or more) plots you would like to do. Any. *sobs* I miss roleplaying so bad and this is why I made this; so I can get some of it out of my system. Stuck in a waiting room. Which magazine do they pick up? I would want to say Home and Garden, but who am I kidding, sheâd pick up Highlights. I think thatâs the name of that kidâs magazine in doctor offices. Lol
Morality: What is one thing in their past theyâre ashamed of? One thing theyâre proud of? Sheâs extremely ashamed of her memory loss. If not for that sheâd be ashamed of what she does while possessed. As for proud it makes her beam how many friends she has and how great they are. Describe one fight theyâve had in the past (physical or otherwise). Probably hardest fight sheâs encountered is Phoarr trying to snipe her while both possessed from up on the mountain side of  Osna Sail. It mostly her trying to dodge arrows, or power trough getting pin-cushioned while climbing up the mountain side Once she get close enough it forced him to retreat since once that distance is gone thereâd be little fight left. What is one thing they feel strongly about? The greater good. Helping others in general. The only time you should be looking in your neighbors bowl is to see if they have enough food. One trait they admire? Beyond being generally kind she finds honesty an amazing and understated trait. What disturbs them? Lack of empathy makes her uncomfortable. She finds no matter the situation one should be able to relate and feel sympathy. Do the ends justify the means in their eyes? It depends on the situation. She gets caught up such as 10 men have been accused of committing crimes, one is innocent nine are guilty but itâs all or nothing. She canât let the 9 guilty go free, but she canât bear to see the one innocent go to jail. Are they a leader or a follower? Why? Sheâs a follower. Her combat skills naturally are still pretty weak and she doesnât retain enough to be a leader. What do they feel responsible for? (Ex. I owe it to the world to do this.) She feels responsible for just about anything and anything as long as itâll fit on her lap. Do they believe that a person can redeem themselves from mistakes of the past? She does believe in second chances, and thirds and fourths since she forgot the second chanceâŚ. What scares them? Of other people, callousness, hatred, and apathy; in general deep water, and the experience before dying. How do they feel about death? Have they been significantly affected by it? Itâs a part of life, but it still makes her sad. She has generally gotten over it though being a milletian with many milletian friends and the seemingly long life of the non-milletians. Do they value faith over reason or vice versa? Religious faith, no, faith in others yes. No matter how many times her hand is bitten she will still believe in the snake. Do they believe in an afterlife? Sheâs never really pondered on it as once itâs out of one body and into another. Do they have any habits that reflect their beliefs? (Ex. regular prayer, vegetarianism, etc.) Non-violence unless violence has been shown. Do they respect the beliefs of others? She does. She likes to listen to all the little details. She isnât sure what to believe, but far be it from her to tell someone theyâre wrong when she doesnât know. Would they be more likely to act for the good of one or the good of many? Depends on if the one or many are good themselves. Back to the 10 people being sentenced. Are they manipulative? About small things she can be, like âBarruchhhhhh~ Can you go and snag me a glass of water, I worked all day while you napped and I am so parched.â But beyond small bouts of laziness she finds it wrong. Is the character religious? What are their views, and why or why not? Not in the least. No particular reason other than sheâs not much of a big picture and gets unsure of whatâs the truth. How would they like to die? If she had to choose it would be alone so no one had to watch her die and unconscious as not to feel it. The sappy deaths with others makes her feel bad especially since she has a high mortality rate.
