I have that too. In my language the sight loss is called ‘aura’ and it makes it kinda sound like a superpower. It sucks, but it usually lasts a determined amount of time (20 minutes for me) before the aura stops and the migraine starts. you can take it as a warning to take your migraine meds.

Thank you so much for the tip! I’ll try to remember it for if and when it happens again, and if it gets to be as bad as what my mom suffers.
