Urban Creativity Lund at Aarhus Volume Under Gaden 2019

This weekend we will be in Aarhus, Denmark, for a panel talk about graffiti and street art as part of the street festival Under Gaden.

Speakers are Susan Hansen (Nuart Plus / Middlesex University), Erik Hannerz and Peter Bengtsen (both Urban Creativity Lund / Lund University).

The talk is organised by Andromeda 8220 and takes place Saturday 25 May 2019, 13:30 – 15:30 under Ringgadebroen (near Godsbanen, Skovgaardsgade 3, Aarhus).

“This is pretty small town-like. A different take on which kind of city we get, if we start scaling down heavily and work with small units. In reality that creates a larger networking organ compared to having cluster next to cluster next to cluster next to cluster,” says Mads Peter Laursen - the navigator, janitor, and dictator of Institute for (X). The picture is taken during this year's edition of Aarhus Volume. It is a one day music festival run by a group of young volunteers with 40 concerts and 20.000 guests - twice as many as last year. Institute for (X) is a cluster of socially aware small businesses (around 65 start up companies, 25 associations, and 70 artists) of which I am also a part.
