Aaron training our promising Gelding Thorne S, sold to us by Jay Wilkinson.
We at Stormhaven know that horse training makes up only a small percentage in a horses life, so we try to enrich their lives as best we can. A horses overall happiness goes a long way in training after all.
We have been experimenting with our stallions and trying to pair them up to give them social stimulus. To be honest it is never easy and there is always a risk envolved keeping stallions together (the risk is even higher for valuable breeding stallions), but we have been careful and listen to our horses and their needs (meaning some have strong opinions on who they like and don’t, and some prefer to stay alone all together). Sultan and Conquistador are our most successful pair. After a few minor rivalry fights they decided they enjoyed each others company more than without and are actually quite cute together. Another successful pairing can be seen in the back with our Saddlebred Samurai and our laid back Rocky Mountain Horse Renegade.
Some Entries for the “Elkwood Futurity Showcase” on ES. We have so many horses we wanted to show, it was difficult to choose who to enter.
