I had a thought to share about temp sheltering homeless here in Wpg during extreme weather. How about outfit some shipping containers for extreme weather and then put them on trailers and park around the core. I am aware of shelters and there are reasons ppl choose not to go to them. So this would be my alternative for temp sheltering. Say 8pm to 8am. Kinda don't have resources to do this :( Also aware prob get the wrath of the city and province for parking them. But its an idea so...

Do you know how to make that foam that goes in bike helmets?

Its apparently called Expanded PolyStyrene, but it doesn’t seem to be easy to make at home as many of the derivatives come from oil byproducts or require toxic solvents like benzene and require specialist equipment that only a lab would have.

There might be an alternative that can be made safely at home, though I’m not aware which might be best.

I usually save that for my warm apple cider vinegar drink. :D Last time I tried adding it to my tea it was too much for me and I felt like I was dying, hahaha

Hmm, it’s not really her area since it’s like a surgical implant but I’ll see what I can find out. I think it’s permanent though, which is why it’s so hard to get approval for.

Jobs are easy to find, Careers on the other hand.... What I mean is that there will always be back breaking unappreciated underpaid part time work out there that people would rather not do. I think politicians should work on creating better employment conditions for ppl to find long term careers.
