aarondtechguy said: Aaron looked the man up and down. “-I did need something… but now I can’t remember what it was…” He mumbled absently.
Daryl raised his brow at the other man before pressing his hand over his on chest. Licking his lips he clears his throat a bit, "-- maybe ya' should stick around until ya' remember." He offers.
"Do you know how to cook?"

NYC
The world ended not too long ago in the South. Georgia had been his home, his life, and he lost that. Everything that was held close to him was traded for running from place to place in hopes of survival. If anyone was to tell him of the things he'd seen he would have bought it. To be foolish enough to think that dead people weren't dead and the sound of a bow slicing through the air then a skull. Wearing the scent of the dead instead of throwing up about it. In all his time around rancid food because his parents weren't aware enough to replace it, there was never a smell that could train him to stomach the odor of walkers. Maybe he never took the time to properly digest everything that'd happen as it happened- it was hard to shoot with tearful eyes. However, those thoughts had slowly returned since his arrival in NYC. Perhaps a small part of the world ended there too. A world left in ruins and crowds thinned out.
Metal scrapped against glass as the cap of his beer was twisted off. Slightly worse service was something that seemed to come with the apocalypse. Time no longer held meaning so he stopped keeping track of days. A Dixon was never suppose to feel sorry for themselves but all Daryl had been able to do was think. Loved ones that had earned a place in his heart only to lose too soon haunted him. The walker traits that distorted his brother's features was still something he could couldn't shake. A shiver shook his spine and his stomach tightened at the memory. The dark bottle was lifted and some alcohol spilt for all the spilled blood before the mouth was raised to his lips. A weak swallow was followed by a harsh sniff. There was no changing what had happened so he might as well keep doing what he'd learned to do so well.
