'I' - My perspective

One of the most anticipated movies in recent times. I have always been Shankar sir’s fan ever since Gentleman. There will be something new in his film. Not jut the graphics or other gimmicks but even in narration there will be something different and he never fails to entertain audience

Watched ‘I’ this weekend and totally loved it. Vikram stole the show and he had put lots of effort which is visible in each and every frame of the movie. Amy looked gorgeous and its a perfect role for her. ARR’s music was topnotch and Sid sriram’s voice sounded amazing in ‘ennodu nee irundhal’. Generally I am not a fan of Anirudh’s voice. But only ARR can make Anirudh’s voice too mesmarising (Nejamve naan Mersalaitten) PC sir’s camera captured China and other locales beautifully. Definitely a visual treat. But after watching the movie and while coming back home I had few questions in my mind to ask Dir.Shankar. Anyways I am sure I can’t ask him directly so documenting here. :-)

- Why so much of vulgarity double meaning dialogues in the movie? ‘Gentleman’ and your other movies too had such dialogues but those were subtle. And in ‘I’ it went a little overboard.

- A transgender falling for Vikram the moment he removes his shirt and trying to seduce vikram with horrible dance moves,  Was it really necessary?

- Probably Amy’s mom character is the worst performer in all of your 11 tamil movies I guess. Why you chose her? No proper lip synching, not even one single good expression from her. She is fair and she slightly resembled Amy but definitely wrong choice

- ‘Koonan’ character should have been a surprise atleast in my opinion. Instead of using his face for promos & posters you might have just used the other two characters’ pictures

- China bicycle fight was a total failure and it didn’t create any impact as that of ‘Anniyan’ Karate fight. I even felt a dupe was used for the stunt instead of Vikram

- During the mistaken identity Amy thinks Vikram as a beggar and she gives him a ‘2 Pound’??!! (instead of our rupee) coin as change to him :-)  Didn’t you notice it while shooting the scene? Its a very small mistake but being a perfectionist I thought you will look into each and every single detail

- SureshGopi appears shady ever since the start of the movie and within few minutes we have easily guessed what is his actual role in the movie

- Worst lipsynching by Upen Patel and lacked expressions too. Was he your original choice for that character John?

- Santhanam’s appearance in 2nd half annoyed a little bit rather than evoking a laughter. Was it intentional? His interview scenes were totally immature and for a big budget movie like ‘I’ the climax could have been much better

Expecting a better movie from you soon with your usual style of narration and punch scenes.
