किया था तय कुछ पंद्रह बरस पहले...

मासूमियत के पत्ते सूखने से भी पहले...

कुछ ऐसा कर के दिखाऊंगा

कुछ ऐसा बन के दिखाऊंगा

कि आये नाम सबसे ऊपर .....सबसे पहले ...

ना जाने से कब विलक्षण से साधारण हो गये

ना देगा कोई कभी किसी को वो उदाहरण हो गए

भेड़ जैसे चलते चले भेड़ियों जैसे बनते रहे

और धन उत्पादन की प्रयोगशाला में संसाधन हो गए

उत्साह और आनंद को प्राथमिक लक्ष्य बना दिया था

सत्य और आत्मसम्मान से विजयीरथ भी सजा दिया था

वक़्त की ओस गिरती रही नैतिकता में ज़ंग लगती रही

उसे पश्चिम पहुँचा दिया मैने

जिस नौका को उत्तर जाना था

हर कदम प्रतियोगिता ने व्याकुल कर रखा है

हर क्षण पड़ते दबाव ने कुछ उदास कर रखा है

घर नही मकान बड़ा है

आय के आगे खर्चा खड़ा है

भागे तो कैसे,

सुख के पहरेदार ने सुकून जो कैद कर रखा है

सिद्धांतानुसार वर्तमान है गलत,

व्यावहारिकता भूत कहती है

परिवर्तन अप्रिय,अपरिहार्य है और दृढ़ता मुझे मूर्ख कहती है

मस्तिक ही दृष्टि है संतुलन ही कुंजी है

आत्मज्ञान और आत्मविश्वास रखो,

यही ये कविता कहती है
