AAXS Basketball 2010 Team Stallions Batch 87
Thanks to Jahzel Manabat to being our gracious Muse for the event and congratulation to your win.
Bunch of 40 something Guys reliving their youth
Once again we will be celebrating our 24th year as graduates of Xavier School High School, we have joined the Alumni Association of Xavier School Basketball League for the past three years. Where we will be competing with Alumni which are at least 10 to 15 years younger than us. So far we have been steadily improving from Zero wins the first year to entering the semi's last year. At least we know we won at least the best muse award this year thanks to Jahzel in being our muse.
What do you guys think should we still be joining this league with our aging bodies? And I can't tell a lie that for the past couple years this is one sport I receive my worst scare last year due to some bad falls in the game which cause a big bruising on my knees. Which required at least six month of therapy.
Basketball a rough sports but with friends who are willing to play with you its great and worth playing with them. Wish us luck.
THE 2011 XAVIER SCHOOL RUNATHON
In commemoration of Xavier School’s 55th anniversary, and the Silver Jubilee of Xavier School Batch 1986, the Xavier School community, including the AAXS and XSPA, is organizing a fun run and marathon (Runathon) to be held on JULY 10, 2011, SUNDAY, 4:30AM.
The race is open to runners of all ages, beginner or elite. Celebrities and prominent personalities are expected to grace the event, and there will be a program and awarding ceremonies at the end of the run at the Start/Finish Line inside Xavier School campus in Greenhills. There will also be exhibitors’ booths and a seminar/lecture on Health, Running and Fitness from noted professionals.
The race route will be around the Greenhills, San Juan area, and will have four (4) categories- 3k, 5k, 10k, and 21k. Registration fee is P500 for 3k and 5k, and P600 for 10k and 21k, inclusive of runner’s shirt and freebies. Beneficiaries of THE STALLION RUN will be the Xavier School Educational Trust Fund, the XS86 Men for Others Foundation, Gawad Kalinga, and the AAXS Social Fund. The advocacy of the run is to encourage good health and exercise, and to promote walking and running as a simple yet effective clean-and- green alternative to the traffic and parking situation around Greenhills.
We invite all XS alumni to participate and be part of this major event in the XS community. Registration period will be from April 1, 2011 to June 30, 2011, at the AAXS Office, and other registration sites.
For more details, inquiries, questions, comments, or any other feedback, we can be reached at 0917-8330315, 0917-5006599 or 0922-8963268, or through the Alumni Association of Xavier School (AAXS) Office. You can also follow us on Facebook (The Stallion Run FB Page).
