Oh, pilot-and-bombadier FOR SURE. That's so Nat/Arthur coded. You can't see each other, you can probably barely hear each other, but you also know that the other person CAN and most definitely will take control of the aircraft. You need to trust them to take the both of you to safety. Nat and Arthur have that trust in each other in spades, it's almost creepy.

RIP to whoever their co-pilot is, though, they're 3rd wheeling at best and also convinced they are both fucking nuts.

asldkfjskksd i have a feeling it's unspoken between them too bc like. Arthur only ever got into that fight because he and Nat fought first and they were fraying at the edges, alone for the first time ever! and Nat's wanted to take some of the blame for that, but tbh they're trying to draw boundaries between each other, now that they recognize they have to, and so of course Arthur's not gonna allow her to take blame for a fight he started.

so Nat's gotta find a way to expend that energy somehow.

she's also just really angry as a person and her first reaction to conflict is to punch it, so of course she's gonna find the nearest group of ne'er do wells to punch, never mind she is 1) outnumbered and 2) not in the best headspace to do ANY of that.

but yeah, it's an unspoken thing in that... Arthur KNOWS something's happened (soulmate-isms), but Nat won't tell him, and it sits between them like this weight they just have to get used to, ya know? Arthur knows there are scars on her that he help put there, and Nat knows there are phatom boot marks on Arthur's face because of her, but they're not gonna say anything!!
