Is Saeran panicking ? Yes. Yes, of course he is.
Closed spaces aren’t exactly a fear of his— and even if they were, surely the entire bunker wouldn’t count as much of a closed space— yet this situation is making that all too familiar anxiety rise in his chest. He almost wants to cry, but there’s no way that he’s going to let himself appear that weak.
Instead, he curses and curls his hands into fists, letting himself imagine how he’s going to punch Saeyoung when he finally returns.
‘ He still hasn’t responded. ’
Pretty soon Saeran knows that he’ll try to hack into the security system. Saeyoung probably won’t be too pleased about that, but … well, it’s his own fault. How could he forget to leave behind the new passcode ? He knows that Saeran doesn’t like feeling trapped.
‘ I am going to kill him. ’
it’s a little like being trapped in a cage with a lion. yoosung, of course, knows that saeran is better now, that he won’t actually try to really hurt anybody, but, well---there’s something in the curl of his fingers into his palms that has yoosung very convinced that saeyoung won’t be happy when he returns. if he returns.
he’s been standing a safe distance away for this long, fiddling with his cuticles and pushing them back ‘til they hurt, but now seems like a good time to intervene. yoosung steps into the other’s space, all calming smiles and worried eyes. he’s here to have fun, after all, with saeyoung AND saeran. it’s time they focused on something else, even if they can’t go outside and enjoy the summer weather right now.
❝ i’m sure he’ll get back to us soon, or be back before then. it’s not like it’s forever, right? he just ran to the grocery store, ❞ yoosung assures. he almost---ALMOST---reaches to pat saeran on the shoulder, but he hesitates and quickly withdraws in on himself again.
❝ hey, why don’t we do something to pass the time? we could play a game together, or put on a movie, or maybe even see if there’s stuff to make cookies. no use worrying about something we can’t fix. ❞
