I was somehow on an underwater boy scout camp and the counsellor was revealed to be the Joker. No one did anything and he ended up hosting a cosplay competition.
Who is Jesus Christ?
7. The Wonderful Counsellor
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines a counsellor as
“a person who gives advice or a lawyer who gives advice in law and manages cases for clients in court.”
From the definition above, can you see how Jesus is a wonderful counsellor?
Jesus spent years on earth teaching about God and the Kingdom of God to many people in different towns around Israel.
Matthew 4:23
And he went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction among the people.
When you study the scriptures, you will find many quotes from the wise counsel Jesus gave in His teachings and parables, which are still taught today.
Here are a few wise counsels from Jesus:
About giving and good deeds: Jesus says, “Do your good deeds quietly and do not seek recognition for it.” –Matthew 6:1-4
About anxiety: Jesus says, “Do not be anxious, but seek first the kingdom of God.” –Matthew 6:25-33
About judging others: Jesus says, “Judge not, that you be not judged.” –Matthew 7:1
About how you treat others: Jesus says, “Whatever you wish others to do to you, do that to them.” –Matthew 7:12
About fear of humans: Jesus says, “Don’t be afraid of those who can kill the body but not the soul. Rather fear Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” –Matthew 10:28
How is Jesus a lawyer?
Jesus advocates for those who believe in Him before God. The scriptures describe Jesus as the mediator between God and men and an advocate.
1Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
1John 2:1
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
Allow Jesus to advocate for you by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour today.
Say this prayer to invite Jesus into your life:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You into my heart and life.”
Now, join a sound, Bible-believing and practising church. Continue to study Jesus’s words and live as He wants His followers to live.
fyi therapist and counsellor aren’t protected terms so no actual qualifications are required to become one.. please check who it is that you’re actually seeing and that they’re qualified to be looking after you because your therapist could be literally anybody if you’ve gone private
We should recognise that therapists (such as myself) are also human beings with their own struggles and challenges.
The best therapists may have even faced their own mental battles, making them even more empathetic and skilled in helping their clients. It is important to show compassion towards everyone, including those in the helping profession. Please be kind.

Hey all,
I’m Amanda from the South of England. 🇬🇧
This is all new to me so finding my way… any tips, help or just a “Hi” will be appreciated.
I’m an INFP (personality type) Sapiosexual/Demi… I’m all about love and romance, positivity and happiness, connectivity and spirituality, fun and mischief, as we all should keep the child within us. A belly laugh a day and smiles in this crazy pernicious world we are barely living on with kindness and empathy…if you aren’t kind then you can always change for the better.
Warm regards,
Amanda x
