one aspect about them i love: ooough i think it’s very.. compelling? #tooreal? that he chose to devote his life to the empire as an executor instead of finding something where he could use his skill/passion for mechanics. and then lost it all anyway. and he’s so wet pathetic droopy wilty sobbing mess

one aspect i wish more people understood about them: hmmmm don’t get me wrong i love a stoic darkleer but that man was a drama king to the max. he’s a whiny mopey extremely vocal complainer. his hive is entirely isolated among the clouds like. he’s so extra. 💙

one (or more) headcanon(s) i have about this character: SENSITIVE TUMMY 4EVER AND EVER but also once he was exiled he started eating less and stopped working at keeping up his ✨physique✨so he got soft dadbod

one character i love seeing them interact with: uhmmm mindfang is pretty funny ngl !! there’s the familiarity of old friends but also the…. sigh this is the hill i Will die on but backstabbing bluebloods. darkleer and mindfang are like. folks who knew each other in high school but weren’t particularly close but keep reconnecting afterward. like that’s the vibe.

one character i wish they would interact with/interact with more: psii ig? i’ve seen some post-helm psii/leer stuff and well thas p neat!

one (or more) headcanon(s) i have that involve them and one other character: okay well this isn’t. completely original. but he gets very attached to the idea of the demoness in his overly dramatic way of wishing for death and thinks it a sort of penance that he prays to a pagan lowblood goddess lol

Do you think damara knew about damaras life on beforus? If so, how do you think she found out?

technically mai/post-scratch damara knew as much (if not more) as the reader did before meenah’s proper appearance in the comic :3 like she’s there in the room with doc scratch when he gives the ancestor/hint of alpha troll exposition and it’s implied that was not the first time she’d heard that story. so she knows abt beforus (though maybe not by name) and a little of what it was like and that other side of the universe her was one of the failed heroes.

how much she knows abt pre-scratch damara’s actual life/who she was is probably not much imo. the alpha trolls had some way of viewing/knowing about their post-scratch lives from the dream bubbles but signless was the only one post-scratch to really.. Get In Touch w his past life + beforus.

i may have made a post abt this before i do like the idea of little mai just kinda. coming up w ideas abt who she was pre-scratch. they’re daydreams way far off from the truth but well she’s a girl locked in a room. she can have her imaginary self w imaginary friends and an imaginary life

the tumblr search function sucks ass so it p much entirely relies on ppl tagging stuff so thank u to everyone who has ever done that. i know several blogs that tag consistently and reblog a lot of art/ancestors, so i start w those depending (if i’m looking for dolorosa i’m not gonna go to the psii blog yeah). “open in new tab” will become ur bestie btw.

from those blogs you can see who they reblog a lot from so there’s hopefully a couple more ppl :) and it just keeps going kinda like that until you find urself reading someone’s 4 note ficlet from 2012

when u hit dead ends sometimes u gotta backtrack. it’s all kind of a time consuming and tedious process lol

if u find ppl who post a lot of ancestors but don’t tag/tag very little (looks away guiltily) or are deactivated or whatever, u gots to find the quiet ppl. their followers that consistently reblog. the taggers. the true heroes.

it gets even more tedious at that point bc older posts don’t show ppl’s tags in the notes :( so you filter it by other reblogs and check. every single one. to see who has tags for characters ships urls whatever. and go through those individually 👍
