TLOK AU where they’re an ABBA-like pop group.
I’ve tried to come up with a name for their group, and it’s either The Krew, the Fire Ferrets, or ABBAtar (the last one is the best but also doesn’t make sense). Sadly their initials don’t make anything interesting.
FIRST ALBUM: A big hit! Was critiqued for its weak closing tracks, but spawned loads of singles that hit it big. A good album from a group with great chamradarie with each other.
SECOND ALBUM: Extremely confused. General consensus is that there are highlights, and it’s more experimental but it’’s clear the group didn’t know where to go after their first album . A lot of the songs are dominated by one singer and it doesn’t sounds like a cohesive record collaborated on by all the members. Rumours circulate that there was a messy break up between Mako and Korra during this album and that there were tensions between all members.
THIRD ALBUM: A great comeback! Fans and critics adore it. Whatever happened in album two has been put behind them. Just a well produced pop album. Harmonies on point.
After their third album, the group go on a hiatus due to personal tragedies. Korra goes quiet. Bolin releases pop singles during this time with frequent collaborator girlfriend. Asami releases an EP of singer-songwriter tunes that has a small amount of dedicated fans. Mako delves into hip-hop. Fans accept that the group have broken up but haven’t confirmed it.
FOURTH ALBUM: Dropped unexpectedly, online only. Darker than the other albums, and is acclaimed for its lyrical content on some tracks exploring trauma. Some of the content feels like it doesn’t all meld together as one (the differing musical directions the group members are drifting in is clear) but generally beloved by fans.
After their fourth album, the band breaks up. Korra and Asami reveal they’re dating. They mostly retire from the music industry, but release folk-pop singer songwriter albums that young gays love.
Bolin becomes an over the top pop singer. Think Lady Gaga style shows and. Records three or four albums before retiring to raise a family.
Mako sets up an indie record label. The label does well, his solo rap record? Not so well.
