A random Bluey thing I wrote because I absolutely love this adorable dog show.
“Can we light it? Can we light it please?!” Bluey pleaded as she ran towards the family room table. [Which family room it is, I don’t know. I’ve been studying this house for ages and just imagining the floorplan is a nightmare.]
“Nope,” Bandit answered bluntly. “Lighters are strictly for the grown-ups.”
“Can we at least watch you light it?”
“That’s fine. Just keep your distance.”
Recently, Chili received a candle for her birthday, to her dismay. It was a gift from the office, which candles weren’t the most offensive gift to get someone if you didn’t know what to get them, but in Chili’s case, it was more of a curse. As the girls were getting older and getting more adventurous by the second, it started to get a little worrisome to have one lying around with Bluey wanting to do the same as her parents and light the wick. And whenever Bluey gained a new interest it also became Bingo's too.
Contained Arson was a perfect way to describe candles, Bandit thought. Just letting the girls even near one while the flame was lit sent chills down his and Chili's tails. Yes, they could put it in a higher-up place, there was plenty of shelf room for a [Heinz Aussie BBQ-scented candle. Okay, no, that's not the scent, but I’m amazed because I just found out these were a thing, and now I’m headcanoning Bandit buying one of these to spite Chili because she thinks they sound disgusting]
