THE DAY AFTER

Was sad to take the beautiful Emmy gown off last night and face a Monday so soon after leaving the ball... But was so treated to experience this artist, Xenia Rubinos today in the music lounge. If Alisha Keys, Celia Cruz, Amy Winehouse, Joni Mitchell and Abbey Lincoln had a very precocious daughter, Xenia would be it!! She has a style unto herself and plays some very funky solo bass. I am so sorry I didn't get to see her last night, but this young, lyrically enlightened soul promises to be back and I know I will be in her audience. I will also be hoping for the right scene to pitch her for..... Fascinating!!! Yeah Monday!

FRIDAY BEAUTIES!!! Like me visions of a summer weekend are now real and the flip flops are on! We had @Darlingside in the music lounge on Wednesday and by the middle of the first song, the whole lounge was relaxed and weekend ready! They are a quartet Simon and Garfunkel with some magic Beach Boy dust.... Ohmmmmm! Busy busy day! But I can't not share this amazing talent, @KTTunstall who visited the music lounge today to perform some of her upcoming album (yes I still call them that) KIN coming in September. "Maybe It's a Good Thing" is the first single out tomorrow, but I have to say "Hard Girls" will be my jam as its about being yourself and letting the hardness go..... Showcase days in the ABC MUSIC LOUNGE are my favorites! One of the best perks of the job is having amazing talent come and perform for us.... It just makes the day right! I was so anticipating this artist, Sarah Gayle Meech as I sort of stalked her after seeing her at the famous Roberts in Nashville. She is country like Chris Stapleton and her band are some of the best players. I looked around the music lounge and saw my team totally beaming because you can't help but smile when this girl is singing!
