N is for Pastel de NATA Know to must of us as Portuguese custards or tarts, I first tasted these while living on the Plateau in downtown Montréal when I was attending g McGill. Fast forward 30 years and I visited Lisbon to taste the world famous Pastéis de Belém. Truly the most delicious that we tried... and we tried many. A year later we find ourselves at home with only dreams of returning to Portugal 🇵🇹. We were invited to take an online course on making these delectable treats. That's exactly what @lauren_patii did last year. She took the course while I encouraged her along and took pictures. We had the best time (although very intendive). I would recommend taking a class with @pastelariabatalha_lisboa . They teach students all over the world and it was reasonably prices and really fun. #ABCsOfFood #foodie #online #cookingclass #Portugal #gastrotourism #pastries #sweets #chef #yumyum #nomnom # (at Pastelaria Batalha - Lisboa) https://www.instagram.com/p/CM_QoOtAZf1/?igshid=kid2kbtkb90t
