Not a big surprise that I’m going to official retire this blog along with Gali retiring ABDN. Nebris was the only one this poor Vechs ever really interacted with, and to be fair, I haven’t been keeping up with this blog in a couple of years. Between low activity levels in the fandom (and abd group) in general, my own life, and few asks, it’s just not been my priority.
Geek, the other mod on this blog, didn’t do much either, and I doubt she’ll care if I retire the thing. ABDV might return, eventually, if either of us want to pick it back up, but it’s unlikely.
Thanks, everyone. It’s been a really good run, and thank you so many times over for the wonderful reception in the Mindcrack fandom - not just as the mod of ask-badly-drawn-vechs, but as Tanadin. I appeared mysteriously, wrote a bit, and vanished after a year to my own community. During my short period of extended activity in the fandom, I was treated wonderfully and warmly.
I met a lot of wonderful people through Mindcrack, and a couple - namely Gali, mod of askbadlydrawnnebris - through the ABD blogs. It’s painful for me to officially set down ABDV, but we all knew it had already happened, even if it wasn’t official. I’ve been out of the main circle of the fandom for a couple of years now, ever since I finished Fated in March of 2016, and this is really the last tie I have before I can be considered officially gone, I guess.
It hurts, but it’s true, and it’s time.
Thank you, everyone, for everything. I love you guys, and I love this fandom.
@tanadin signing off. It’s been nice knowing you, and I hope I made you laugh a few times.
