Hey I wanna make an awareness post about @anti-fat-privilege
They have been very cruel and fake claiming people and using their fatphobia as a way to be abelist as well
This person accused me of faking endometriosis and accused me of being rich and refusing to take care of myself. They also accused me of eating McDonald’s which I don’t due to my chronic stomach problems and because of BDS boycotts
Don’t engage with this blog, it isn’t worth it. They do not acknowledge weight gain as a side affect of medication and disorders like Endometriosis, PCOS, thyroid problems, lipodemia etc.
They use very fatphobic langauge and are very violent with it. They will accuse your doctors of being AI
autistic things 136
people treating you different when you're semi/nonspeaking
Disabled people are more than just people being in a wheelchair. Some people use a cane. Some people hold their friends hand to keep balance. Some people walk slower because of pain. Some people can’t comprehend situations very well. Some people have debilitating phobias. Some people can’t communicate. Some people can’t see. Some people have chronic pain. Some people can’t hear. Some people are nonverbal. Some people have chronic mental illness. Disability is a disability whether you agree or not.
Yes "fucktard" is a slur. It is literally based off of the word "retard"! Where do you think the "tard" part of the word comes from/why it's considered insulting? Are you just that incapable of using critical thinking for 3 seconds or is it actually that you all know exactly what it means, but for you it's an excuse to say a version of the r-slur and get away with it??
Oh and to top it off, I witnessed an incredibly ableist ultrasound tech gleefully boast to her coworker about how she retaliates against patients who ask her questions because she thinks they are doubting her intelligence.
…just let that sink in.
Retaliates, as in purposefully makes things more inconvenient for them by being even more vague and not talking them through the ultrasound like she does with patients who don’t ask questions. She also mentioned that she drags out the paperwork and makes things take longer for patients who ask “how much longer” while in the waiting room. My only solace is that her coworker actually defended the patients by saying that “they’re probably just concerned about their health” but seriously, if your ego trumps your compassion you probably shouldn’t be in healthcare.
So, I was on tiktok today and came across a video on my for you page where this guy (black) was making a joke that he would beat up a kid with tourettes if they said the n-word. You know, just a real funny joke about threatening to assault a disabled child. The comments were filled with things like “I’m gonna beat the tourettes out of them” and a bunch of misinformation that tics are just intrusive thoughts or things you already say, that it had to be in their vocabulary. I made a video of my own in response to this tiktok, basically saying why it was wrong and combatting the misinformation and lies from the comments. I wasn’t harsh at all, but only a couple hours later my video was taken down for “bullying and harassment.” Yet, when I reported this guy's video- in which he jokes about punching disabled kids- I was told there were no content violations. Make it make sense.
