Azi smiled and pulled Belle in for a hug.  ”I have been wonderful darling.  How have you been darling?”

Brett giggles and grabs Sophie's hand. "Mama, ca-can we go to tha park?" He tugged on her hand gently.

"I…." Sophie can’t believe it. Brett actually thought she was his mother? This cannot be happening.

"Ah, yeah, sure. Just, give me a sec, okay?" She turned away and took a deep breath. She’s not ready for this yet. She can’t be a mother. For heaven’s sake, she’s a college student, and she’s struggling with her part-time jobs. She doesn’t have the time for this.

But, then again, it was Brett. He was such a lovely little child and she couldn’t break his heart by telling him that she’s not his mother like he thinks. Making a quick decision, she took another deep breath and turned back to the little kid, putting on a cheerful facade. 

"Alright, let’s go." Sophie smiled, leading the child outside.

Bedtime for the mun

I have no idea what time I leave for Ohio tomorrow, so I'll try to get some replies done before I go.  I have the following saved in my drafts:

With a Book in the Pocket (Open RP)

Broadway was sitting on his perch outside of the Castle, staring at his own claws as he heard the echo of the television set from the sitting room where Hudson and the rest of the clan probably sat.  Broadway had taken a night outside, a Sherlock Holmes book sitting unopened beside him, one claw protectively on the large book and his long coat on his lap.  The sound of a siren made him sit up a little bit and unfold his wings.  Silently the gargoyle glided down into the night, his long trench coat gripped over his shoulders. He landed on a trash bin, and he thought he heard a noise over his shoulder.  "Hello?" He asked quietly, claws slipping down to his pocket to make sure his book was still there.
