A Couple Modern (almost) Major Generals || Darren and Logan
The military. He'd joined in the hopes that maybe if he could do something worthwhile his mother might actually feel pride for having given birth to him. That was three years ago. Now here he stood, a young man with nothing to look forward to outside of a military base except a part time job cleaning up after particularly rude people jonesing for a coffee. But he figured that he should be a little more grateful, at least he had a job.
Logan had around three more months before he wasn't required to live on base any longer. He couldn't wait. Sure, he had friends but it didn't feel right. So of course now was the time in the movies where someone showed up and changed his mind about it all. He looked around, half positive that he wouldn't see anything and half hoping he would. Sure enough, that's when he saw...well, nothing. Not until he turned back around, laughing at himself for even thinking for a moment that anything would happen. Someone walked around the corner. Now, this happened often as there were many people walking and many corners, but this person was familiar. Of course it was, Logan looked at that face in the mirror everyday. But that wasn't him, obviously. He was him and that was somebody else entirely. A name passed through his mid immediately.
Darren.
Of course. Sure he had friends here but it wasn't the same. Now it was. Friends from the outside word now in this world with him. Or rather, friend. A grin stretched across Logan's face and he moved quickly to speak to his identical friend. "You know, if there was anymore attractiveness in this base right now, it might explode." Logan stated just as soon as he got within earshot.
