Jude hadn't been a patient long, they had just let her out of solitaire earlier today and she had walked into the common room with her head held high. She went in there and took everything that the others had to give her. She knew that she deserved the ridicule and mockery. That part didn't even bother her.
What actually hurt Jude was the fact that she had failed. The devil was still torturing that young innocent woman and hurting the others. These people were still getting used by the ex-Nazi for experiments. Because of her, these people were still suffering. And she was the one who had brought the devil here in the first place, she knew it had to have been her.
All of these thoughts circled her mind and made her only want to be alone. There was so much going on it was exhausting both mentally and emotionally and all she wanted was to be able to hear herself think for a few minutes without someone shouting at her or watching her. Her back leaned against the cold, cement wall of the small closet and she allowed her body to slide down to the floor.
"I can't do this anymore," she softly said to herself as she closed her eyes and leaned her head back against the wall.
