Mutuals as your Oc's?
@achlless // Blake, a rebel who never avoids troubles (even if the problems are similar in size to Godzilla). He’s still looking for his place on earth, and although sometimes his life resembles Shakespeare’s drama, he always walks with his head high.@henry-winnter // Blair, a girl who realized she is a ghost that’s haunting her own house. Kind soul, but her rage can destroy everything that surrounds her. Would probably make you a tea if she sees you’re having a bad day (but in creepy way, with cups floating and water filling the kettle while no one is around).@sirenoirs // Freya, a powerful witch covered in black. She and her twin brother are up to no good, they would definitely kill for each other. A fan of dragons and many other mythical creatures, very ambitious and brave one (it is possible that she has recently resurrected a dangerous mage who has been sleeping for centuries just to prove her point).@petitecle // Lucie, delicate but strong, an old soul who is reincarnated in different eras. For the most of the time she can be found in her garden or in the stables where she is taking care of horses. A ballet dancer, always ready to find new andventure (precious little bean, probably my favourite oc). @saint-rouge // Elyon, an elf prince. He values logic above all/a good strategist. Nevertheless, he remains good and he would do anything for his people, even if this means a sacrifice. A great artist and an excellent warrior (even if he is better with his bow than with any sword).@dianysus // Ash, a werewolf who remains kind even if his life was kinds hard. Members of his pack can confirm that he is everywhere and it’s difficult to forget about him. He died several times, but it’s irrelevant. He will do everything to protect his fluffy family.@voltaiire // Clara, a blind girl who loves books more than anything in this world (can you already see her problem?). She’s a part of a book club where she is surrounded with people who reminds her of loving family. Thanks to them she is able to be a part of her favourites fictional worlds. She lives in the early 1970s. @abernatty // Alexander, a messy poet who lives in France. He probably drinks too much wine, but to be honest he is good with it. He hates small talk, but he can discuss literature and things that fascinate him for hours, especially after wine (probably my second favourite oc, I would die for him).
abernatty replied to your post: if it's not too much trouble could you screenshot...

oh excellent alternative. thank you
i'm scared of pretty much everything but one thing that both terrifies and intrigues me is like... post-apocalyptic scenarios/cosmic horror/1984-style dystopias? i think the idea that everything is futile, that something truly terrible has either just or is just about to happen because of something so much more powerful than yourself, something that just does. not. care about you is horrifying but god it's compelling
oh this is interesting!! i personally don’t think about it much but i get where you’re coming from. i was really into post-apocalyptic stuff when i was younger for some reason, but i think it was for different reasons? i think for me it was more about… breaking down human nature… seeing what we become when circumstances spit in our faces… god, what people are capable of!!
I’m getting off topic lol thanks for sending this in!! i’ll be thinking about it
@abernatty replied to your post: “Are there any public Discord servers for historical fiction writers to...”
none that i'm aware of, unfortunately! possibly worth making one?

I’m not aware of one I’m afraid. Like abernatty said though, mayhaps make your own? If you choose to publish through amazon, their publishing partner/client has forums and so forth in which writers can discuss and swap ideas and I would strongly imagine there’s a historical fiction section within that.
Ahh, what a shame! I figured it’d be worth asking, but if none already exist, I may indeed go ahead and start one of my own.
As for the Amazon writer forums, I’m nowhere even remotely near being ready to publish, which is one reason I’d like to find a group of fellow writers -- in the hope that peer pressure might help me to kick my sorry ass into gear and finish something lol.
Thank you both for your answers! Would either of you be interested in joining such a server if I were to make one?

TAYLOORRRR🥺❤️ I love her so much I think it’s been eleven or twelve years since I first started listening to her? That’s half of my life etbjycsg but I seriously adore and look up to her as an artist and person, her unwavering kindness, perseverance, bravery, and growing ability to stand up for what’s right are a few qualities that have kept me a fan for this long!!! I also love her music, particularly her lyrics, even though country and pop aren’t my preferred genres. And that’s because she’s endlessly improving and never holds herself back, which is essential when creating. I could go on for ages tbh but basically she’s a very badass and creative angel and we have to stan
