Suhana had to really work hard to get her last period of the day to calm down. Thankfully the school was moving on a modified schedule which meant shorter classes, but that also meant she had to sit through a long career day assembly with her last class of the day which was always usually the antsiest class of the day too. It wasn’t only that, but she had to casually keep an eye on other students and make sure they were also behaving. It was just an hour. One hour of listening to people from the community talk about their jobs and let the kids mingle and get free pencils before the final bell and then it was every man and woman for themselves. She put on her teacher smile as the principal began to speak, politely gesturing to any student that could see her to quiet down– which they thankfully did.
