Since it was getting too long and heavy, I decided to divide the oneshot into three parts: second part is here and third here.
Abi felt something envelop his eyes.
He tried to wriggle free, to move his body, but he was paralyzed.
They had captured him.
Due to an uprising broken out in some of the villages located on the outskirts of the kingdom and fueled by the enemies of their beloved King, the three Dragon Warriors (Gu-En, Abi and Shu-Ten, they had forced Zeno to stay in the castle) had gone there. They had managed to quell the revolt, but Abi had remained paralyzed due to the use of his eyes, and so he's been taken prisoner.
He didn't even notice when the enemies tied his hands behind his back and his feet, and only the dizzying movement of being lifted made him realize he was moving: he was on a cart, he could understand it thanks to the uncomfortable sensation of the hard wood on his back and the constant jumps his body made due to the stones the cart was encountering in its race.

For two days and two nights Abi was forced to suffer harassment from his captors, while they were still travelling, still blindfolded and bound, and only the thought of the King and the other Dragons could calm his agitated heart.

Three days after Abi's capture, the cart finally stopped.
The prisoner was dragged into a palace he would be lying if he said wasn't beautiful and forced to kneel before a golden throne decorated with gems, on which a middle-aged man with a crown on his head sat: he was the sovereign of that kingdom.
A man -a soldier, Abi assumed- held his head to the the ground, making it difficult for him to look carefully around the room, but he was sure he saw a female figure dressed in a rich cobalt dress.
"Oh? Would it be one of the Dragon Warriors? Are you sure?" It was the king's voice that spoke. It sounded slightly raspy, and it was filled with so much malice and wickedness the Dragon's skin crawled.
The prisoner's hair was suddenly grabbed and pulled by the soldier and his blindfold removed, so that everyone could see his eyes.
Everyone in the room -at that moment Abi realized there were soldiers on the sides of the room and also other people who seemed noble because of how they were dressed, in addition to the king and the girl in blue- gasped, except for the soldier, the king and the girl.
His eyes, after wandering for a few moments towards those present in the room, fell on the girl. He froze and his cheeks blushed slightly: she was gorgeous. The girl was an angel, he was convinced of that. After all, she also seemed to be surrounded by a pale light, which however came from a colored glass window located above her.
Nevertheless, what struck the Dragon most of all was her eyes: they were not scared or disgusted like those of everyone present, not wicked, like those of the king, but they included a multitude of emotions, among which he could only distinguish... sadness?
Why would someone like her, an enemy, be sad for him?
He couldn't understand it.
Abi was pulled from his thoughts by an excruciating pain in his stomach, which made him double over and fall to the ground on his left side.
"How dare you lay your dirty, cursed eyes on our lady?! You wanted to kill her, huh?!"
It didn't take him long to realize his pain had come from a punch from the soldier who was holding him.
A great anger gripped Abi when he understood the man's words. With a hesitant and strained voice due to the pain, he murmured: "My eyes… aren't… cursed".
That was probably the straw that broke the camel's back for the soldier, who began kicking and punching the prisoner in every part of his body he could except his face, to avoid hitting his eyes.
For ten minutes the Dragon endured the blows only occasionally letting out groans of pain, and that angered the soldier, who decided to humiliate him even more than he was doing: he grabbed his hair again in a steel grip and put him back in knee from his previous lying position, actions which caused Abi to close his eyes and moan in pain, and pointed his sword at his neck.
"Apologize to our lady for looking at her with your dirty eyes and almost killing her, monster!"
"I don't kill innocents, and I'm not a monster!" His affront resulted in a knee to his chest that made him spit blood and cracked his ribs.
"Enough!" The sovereign's voice thundered as he approached him.
"Don't worry, dear. You're a monster that will have to be tamed by me." The king's voice was full of malice and evil, so much so Abi's eyes widened and his body trembled slightly in fear at the thought of what would happen to him.

For two days Abi was confined in a narrow room with a window, too small to allow escape, but large enough to allow a decent passage of light and air, at the top, a room through which no one ever entered.
For two days Abi didn't eat.
For two days Abi could do nothing but lie in bed, which was actually a pile of hay stacked in the corner, staring at the wall.
For two days Abi remained in pain, with his ribs broken by the soldier's blows, bent over, groaning in pain.
For two days Abi only thought about his King and his companions, hoping they would save him.

On the third day of his imprisonment, though, the Dragon noticed something strange was happening. The problem was he couldn't figure out what it was, and that bothered him.
Lost in his thoughts, Abi heard the door of his cell open.
Without even moving, he simply turned his head to look at the door with dull and lifeless eyes, expecting a guard or that evil man, but neither the first nor the second appeared: a girl, the same girl he had been observing for some time when he had been led to the throne room to be presented to the king and his court had just entered. She was wearing a simpler dress than the one she had worn at their first meeting, but this didn't take away her regality, which shone through in her posture, in the rich jewels she wore and in the way she carried the bucket of water, the bandages and what he assumed were ointments. The prisoner ignored his heart, which had skipped a beat, and asked her, his voice hoarse from lack of water, what she was doing there.
"My name is (Y/N). I'm here to heal you."
The boy blinked and tilted his head slightly to the side, not understanding the reason for the girl's actions, as she approached him, placing the bucket and the supposed ointments on the ground, and knelt down next to him, holding the bandages on her legs and starting to dip some of them into the water.
(Y/N) began to gently pass one over Abi's face, focusing on his eyes -asking him to close them, she cleaned his right eye first, avoiding applying pressure so as not to hurt or scare him, then the left, repeating the same procedure and finishing with a light caress on both eyelids-; then she moved to his neck and arms and then his chest, while he was looking at her with astonished eyes. Putting the now-soiled bandage on the ground, the girl took one of the bottles, opened it and whispered: "It's aloe, it should heal your wounds faster, but it might sting a little". She then asked him if he could point out his wounds.
The Dragon, still dazed, pointed to some spots on his chest and arms, so the girl dropped a few drops on her index and middle fingers, then put the container down and started to spread the ointment on the indicated spots, constantly holding one of the hands of the prisoner, who very often held hers, wincing in pain. She repeated the process for the lower part of his body, but, when she reached his back, she noticed something strange: "What did you do to your ribs? You have at least a couple broken!"
"That time... When the guard hit me after I looked at you..."
The girl's eyes widened slightly and she jumped up, running away and shouting: "I'll get the healer!"
