I made it to the end of my second term at Oxford!! I the best 9 weeks of essay writing, wintry walks and foggy mornings in the upper reading room of the Bodleian. Looking forward to my last day of rest before I start some revision for collections on Monday <3

Today I completed some more consolidation work on Tocqueville and centralised administration, identifying PPQs (yiiiiiiikes) and completing some further research that I didn’t have time for during term. I also categorised some GH4 PPQs in preparation for starting some General History revision later this week, as well as making notes on a few more chapters of Trevor Dean’s ‘Crime in Medieval Europe’ for my Optional Paper. Feeling a tiny bit overwhelmed by how much work I need to get done over the next few weeks but sunshine and coffee are helping :)

Today I finally made a start on some Tocqueville revision! It’s been an intense day of consolidating my notes and thoughts so far and there’s a long way to go before I achieve everything I want to this vac, but I’ve really enjoyed being able to follow my interests and research things in more detail (without a looming essay deadline haha). I’ve also started some preliminary reading for my optional paper which I’m sitting next term and it’s really nice to start some new content on a completely different topic :)
