"You know, your country slang still surprises me.” Abigail said, barely audible, to the man opposite her. She almost expected the city to pour out of Will whenever he opens his mouth but instead, and oddly enough, he came off with words like “doohickey” and countless metaphors for his childhood. Regardless, she handed him the “fly” bait that he asked for, neon in color and nearly weightless in her hands.

"I’m not scared."

Abigail light-heartledly chuckled. It was funny to see Will Graham lie. It felt similar to being in a cellar while there’s a tornado straight outside your window - your Mother is freaking out. In this theoretical case, Abigail is. And your Father, calm as ever. Not a single flinch on his face. Just a collection of reassuring serenity and nigh a worry in sight. If you were to dig just a few inches deeper, though, you’d find everything spilling out of Will Graham like hundreds of gallons of water in just a four inches deep kiddie pool. She admired his bravery, strength, even his quiet lies, but she knew who he was to the core. "We’re all scared, Will."

This song serves as a bit of a female anthem of the ambiance and sentiment attached to her and Will Graham’s relationship and the perfidy that they share from those around them. The lyrics, although gender specific, hold a true and pure place in her heart for Will’s protectiveness towards her, also.

For Abigail, this song is a musical/instrumental companion to the lives that her and Detective Graham lead. x

Like Will Graham’s, this song feels encumbered and heavy. Two emotions all too familiar to the detective. This song, to Abigail, feels like the wounded man. Not only his psyche but also his delicacy in treating her with the finest care and overprotective barriers that not even the strongest psychologist could break through. x

[Meme/Concept] - “Define responsibility”

the state or fact of having a duty to deal with something or of having control over someone.

Responsibility, for Abigail, is more of a burden than a harmless notion. Some find comfort in the progression from childhood to young adult but she struggled with it immeasurably. Her Father played a part in this but she, too, caused herself to be affected by his influence and made matters worse by killing Nick Boyle, something that she still has not taken proper responsibility for.

Like other teenage girls, she took on the responsibility of being accountable for herself but this, ultimately, ended up being more of a downfall for her instead of what it would be for the common high school student.

In conclusion, since she lacks a parental figure now to tell her right from wrong, her brutal slaying and the luring that she’d done with her Father isn’t something that she feels fully accountable for as she blames him for her developmental issues. Responsibility, although forced upon her with the murder of Garret Jacob Hobbs, isn’t something common, or important, to Abigail Hobbs. x
