Abiki, Ree, and Ushimi, Broomothers

These three lionesses have the responsibility of looking after the pride’s cubs. They do not hunt, and even if there are no cubs they help around the pride’s camp. On the rare chance a cub dies, the Broodmothers have the devastating duty of burying them along with the cub’s parents if they are within the pride or still alive.

While they watch the cubs, that doesn’t mean the parents have no involvement.
