What is Arahabaki? What is Corruption? How do they differ from each other and For the Tainted Sorrow?

Ok so Chuuya theory coming up. I’ve been idly toying with this for a while, never really dedicated a ton of brain power to it but I think it’s come together in my subconscious to post at this point.

So. Chuuya might be a clone. This is a genuine possibility. This doesn’t mean he’s inhuman, it’s specifically stated that Chuuya is genetically and physically indistinguishable from a normal human, which in my mind means that he is human, even if he wasn’t born naturally. I don’t necessarily think he has to be a clone but I’m not ruling it out.

Here’s the thing though: N and the other Arahabaki researchers didn’t just copy the original experiment that created Verlaine. N thought that the whole thing was monstrous even with his own incredibly skewed morals. So there’s something different about Chuuya.

Here’s how I see it: Chuuya’s handed over to the Arahabaki team by his father who is also a military doctor. His original ability is unknown, somehow affecting inanimate objects and causing them to glow and under some unknown circumstances he could create a singularity from a single coin. Incredibly powerful. But limited by the fact that the human body and brain has fail safes to keep us from hurting ourselves. Humans don’t use all of our physical potential because doing so could lead to severe damage to ourselves. Like what happens when Chuuya uses Corruption.

So Chuuya’s original ability is turned into a singularity, changing its very nature and manifestation, as shown by the change of color from white to red. I have multiple theories on what it originally was but I won’t get into that right now. The point is: Chuuya’s gravity manipulation is a result of the singularity housed inside him, which we know because Verlaine has the same gravity control that Chuuya does and it’s unlikely that they started with the same Gift. Somehow, using their singularities, Chuuya and Verlaine are able to warp space and time. Because that’s all gravity is, the curvature of space time around mass and energy. The singularity is under control and can either be turned on and off at will (unlikely) or is somehow contained in another plane of existence that only the Gifted who created it has access too (my preferred theory). Idk what that other plane of existence is, but for now I’m thinking of it as a pocket dimension. I think it exists in the same space as Chuuya like an aura that doesn’t interact with anything around it unless Chuuya wants it to. It can’t be seen or felt by things in this dimension but if anything were to somehow get into its dimension it would behave similarly to a supermassive Shwarzschild black hole. Or maybe Chuuya’s is Kerr and Verlaine’s is a Shwarzschild… actually yeah that based on their fight.

But what about those limitations of the human body? What about Corruption? What about the Persona Model?

I think that the Persona Model is akin to dissociative identity disorder, in that it’s a separate consciousness housed in Chuuya’s mind, but unlike DID it’s unnatural and doesn’t originate from Chuuya’s psyche. It’s a mental state created by the researchers that allows Chuuya’s mind and body to bypass all limitations imposed upon it by basically turning off huge portions of Chuuya’s brain. The lines of code thing Verlaine talked about, the Persona Model, exists in Chuuya in a very different and much less sophisticated way, because Chuuya doesn’t need an artificial intelligence when he already has a natural intelligence, unlike Verlaine.

So to answer the questions asked in the title: Arahabaki is Chuuya, the code name given to him and the research team behind him. Corruption is the artificial mental state he enters to gain access to the full potential of the singularity. Arahabaki is all of Chuuya himself as well as the people who created him while Corruption is one specific aspect of Chuuya created by those people, and For the Tainted Sorrow was his original ability. I say that because I don’t think he has ever actually called his gravity manipulation For the Tainted Sorrow, just Gravity Manipulation, which is actually so sad to me.

Some existing bsd theories (AS OF CHAPTER 98) that I could think of off the top of my head. none of the linked posts are mine.

1. Higuchi’s ability

my take: I do not think Higuchi’s ability is specifically healing, but I do think time reverse used as a healing ability is possible.

2. Fyodor’s ability

blood manipulation and therefore instant death brainwash/brain-related  whether it is affected by direct touch direct touch, and what the sin is

my take: fyodor can control his ability. nikolai slaps him on the shoulder at some point? he might be using his ability to instantly kill ability users.

how the infection might have started  another infection spread theory the end of the prison break arc who is dead dead and could possible live

my take: I just want Jouno to be alive at the end of all of this.

my take: it is highly possible that junichiro joins the PM. side note, i don’t trust long-haired, smiling anime characters in sailor moon uniforms.

6. Sigma

sigma will be fyodor’s downfall possible abilities (I have yet to read a post about this)  sigma joins the ada (can’t find the post)

my take: I actually don’t think sigma has an ability.

Dazai & his ability analysis - longer version

Ability: No Longer Human

Notes: I know I have requests to be done but I’m working on them so don’t worry. I didn’t want to lose my train of thought so I decided to type this out so I don’t. 

About: Dazai and his ability. Can he control it? Is he fooling everyone?

Hi guys! I realize I have done an analysis on this already however it was shorter, also this is going to be different and...i finally have an answer to this puzzling question. But it will remain a theory until Asagiri lets us know whether or not this theory would be true.

Okay so let’s get started

We couldn’t determine as to whether or not Dazai can control his ability. No Longer Human nullifies another’s ability just by a single touch. I am going to name a few instances where Dazai does not nullify an ability when he probably could have.

Season 1:

The episode where it is Kyoka’s orders from the Port Mafia to capture Dazai. It is right at the beginning and when Kyoka touches Dazai while Demon Snow manifests, Dazai does not seem to nullify her ability. 

Season 3:

Note: I am not sure whether anything of this sort happened in season 2

During the Cannibalism arc where he gets shot by a sniper whilst conversing with Fyodor. After being hospitalized he wishes he could have helped the Agency, but his ability would not have allowed him to. Reason being, it would have nullified Yosano’s healing ability, Thou Shalt Not Die.

Note: Here he does not because it would have rendered Yosano’s ability useless. So basically what he is implying is that he has no control over it.

Now all the other times he needed to nullify an ability, he did so. In my other analysis I could not come up with a definite answer. However I think I can now. 

What we do know is that Dazai can be cunning and very manipulative. He fools people with such ease. There are too many instances to name. He is also incredibly smart, predicting everything probably months or weeks before it even happens. So what conclusion I came to was this:

Dazai can control his ability

He manipulates people in to thinking can’t or can’t at that moment

He does this so that his plans/predictions go according to plan

He manipulation skills are incredible in my opinion. So what I think he does and the reason he does it is because, he basically wants his plans...to go according to plan.

Let’s take the Cannibalism arc for example. He acts as if he would only nullify Yosano’s ability if she had to use it on him. But in fact, what if he can control it? He knows he would not be useful for the time being until we see the episode where he holds Akutagawa and Atsushi as if they were his dogs. They were then going to infiltrate the Rats in the House of the Dead hideout. 

He let everyone else do their thing and then he played his part when he needed to. It’s almost as if its a play. He lets whoever else is before him to their thing and thereafter plays his role. Also it seems as if he’s the director or the scriptwriter.(you know what I mean) 

In conclusion, perhaps he can control his ability. But as I said in the beginning, this will remain a theory.

Dazai Osamu’s Ability Analysis - No Longer Human

Dazai you gives me so much problem trying to understand you, so I am going to tackle a different aspect of you rather than just emotion.

Ah... Dazai, you gorgeous person. Your Ability is just as mysterious as you. Well then, let’s start.

Dazai Osamu, a former Executive of Port Mafia and currently one of ADA members. His Ability is No Longer Human, which nullify any other Ability with just a touch. No Ability is immune to his Ability, making him a great threat against every Ability user who completely relied on their Ability to survive or fight.

Dazai doesn’t have to touch the Ability user he wants to nullify with just his hands. Even covered with clothes or shoes, his Ability is still active the moment that Ability touched him or he touched it.

(In the photo Dazai is seen not touching his hands to the ground, where the Ability came from. Still, it was nullified nonetheless and the source of nullification came from his feet. So either his Ability ignores clothing or the enemy’s Ability came in contact with Dazai’s feet inside his shoes)

And then this happened.

Kyouka is touching Dazai’s clothes, yet she can activate Demon Snow. It can be argued that the clothes weren’t in direct contact with Dazai’s skin. What I mean is, only if the clothes is sticking to Dazai then his Ability seeped through his clothes. So it’s not like he had an aura around his body that included his clothes. He need direct contact so if the clothes isn’t sticking to him (the side of his coat is not, unless Kyouka touched the sleeve of the coat that is attached to Dazai’s arm). It is also unclear how many layers of clothing is needed until his Ability can’t seep through. But this four layers seems to be enough for Kyouka to bypass it (Bandages, shirt, vest, and then coat).

Still, even if Kyouka can activate her Ability, it’s another thing to actually harm Dazai with it. Dazai wants to get captured, so it’s no wonder Kyouka can capture him. In fact I can see him walking without any kind of ropes with Kyouka while humming.

Any kinds of harm that can hurt him that comes from Ability are completely nullified. Akutagawa’s Rashoumon, Kunikida’s bullet from a gun he created, Atsushi’s tiger claw, Kyouka’s Demon Snow, etc, are all useless against him. No Ability worked against him, just like how Q can’t control his mind.

He can also nullify other’s Ability effect on another person, but he can’t just touch them and they will be freed. No, he had to touch the source (the Ability user or the medium for the Ability like Q’s doll) for him to free other person from that ability effect. This is shown when he had to search for Q’s doll to free Atsushi and to actually have to wait for Atsushi to deliver the said doll to him rather than just grabbing every single victims of Q’s mind control in the chaos (it can also be argued that even if he touched them, as long as the source existed then the victims will just get mind controlled again and again and the act of just grabbing them all for a mere few seconds or relief are truly ineffective) or that time when Fukuzawa and Mori get the virus (although I don’t understand why Dazai don’t just nullify it if the medium is the virus themselves? Fyodor said that it’s an act of suicide to come into contact with the virus, but the virus is an ability so it won’t affect Dazai. Maybe the one who will die is Fukuzawa if Dazai tried it?)

With his Ability’s power to nullify every other Ability and his sharp mind, Dazai is truly an opponent to be feared of. But it’s not like Dazai is truly omnipotent. While his Ability protected him from other Ability, it won’t do anything against normal physical attack. That means the easiest way to kill Dazai is with guns, knives, or even a brick. People with proficiency in martial arts also don’t need their Ability to fight him, since Dazai is not that strong in hand-to-hand combat. That means Chuuya, Kunikida, and Fukuzawa are the top candidates to kill him. His Ability also doesn’t mean anything against opponent which Abilities are limited to their own self and able to use said Ability to get in ranged fight against Dazai. Who is this? Ironically, it’s Odasaku. Odasaku’s clairvoyance Ability is limited to himself and as long as Dazai doesn’t touch him, it will remain active. Odasaku can shot Dazai easily and be done with it (this reminds me of Beast AU when Odasaku actually point his gun at Dazai. Ouch). Other than Odasaku, this also included Kajii. His Ability protected him from his own bomb, so if he detonated a bomb while in close combat with Dazai... then Dazai will die while Kajii survived. So really, it’s the unoffensive Abilities that don’t target him work best against him. The newest Ability user who controlled metal can also kill him. While his swords may fall when it touched Dazai, he can just control a metal beam to hover above Dazai and let gravity do the rest. Actually, all other Ability user can kill him if they just used their Ability to fling a heavy object at Dazai or more easily, just collapse the roof above his head.

(Don’t ask me about Lovecraft’s Cthulhu, I don’t understand what Asagiri-sensei planned with that)

So, how to kill Dazai? Get creative with your Ability or just throw everything on your hand/Ability to Dazai and hope one of them hit him lol

Dazai’s Ability may work best as invisible shield for himself (maybe he can protect another person by covering them with his own body, but if Rashomon is careful and just targeted the body parts that isn’t covered by Dazai’s body then it still game over) but only against Ability. His Ability is truly the antithesis of Ability user who completely depended on their Ability, but for people who had other tricks up their sleeve Dazai isn’t that hard to kill. Thankfully, Dazai has a sharp mind that will help him survive. Dazai also knew about his weakness, that is why he stayed mostly out of the battlefield unless he gets a plan with high percentage of success or at least backup plans.

(Dazai only appeared at the last possible moment when Atsushi is positioned in place where he can provide cover fire)

(Dazai let himself be caught because he will be totally useless against Hunting Dogs and also to be able to observe Fyodor better and uncover his plans)

That said, because his Ability is always active and doesn’t choose between friend and foe, it also demerit him. Yosano’s healing or other people’s Ability protection won’t work on him. Fukuzawa’s Ability to let his subordinates control his Ability better is useless on him. So Dazai is actually the most at risk of dying in ADA. He actually got wounded almost as much as Atsushi, but when Atsushi got his OP regenerative Ability, Dazai has to being immediately carried to hospital as soon as possible like normal human or he will die. It is unclear whether he let his Ability always active by his own will or he can’t control it.

That is all for Dazai! Next! (Edit : I just reread Fifteen light novel and I see that Dazai’s Ability extend to everything he touches just like Chuuya that he uses to a ribbon he holds that nullify the enemy’s Ability. This brings to question whether what happens with Kyouka. Is it because of my previous theory that more layers to clothing will hinder his Ability or that he has to will his Ability to extend that way. Also, there is also a 0.5 seconds before his brain died that Yosano’s Ability can heal him. I haven’t read 55 seconds to be able to fully analyze this however)

Ok after more thorough research I have come to the conclusion that yes, Chuuya is actually making mini black holes. I had originally said that was completely unrealistic because to make a black hole something needs to have so much mass that it collapses in on itself to create a singularity. That’s what I was taught. In actuality mini black holes are theoretically possible if the matter is compressed enough. The thing is that the smaller the black hole the more quickly it evaporates. A black hole with the mass of an asteroid would be smaller than an atom. It would basically just be a flash of energy. A little explosion. And I’m getting all this information from Janna Levin, an astrophysicist specializing in this kind of cosmology. It took a stupid amount of digging to get this verified, no one talks about them because they aren’t naturally occurring.

In conclusion, while we have never observed or created a mini black hole they are theoretically possible if gravity is warped enough regardless of mass. So Chuuya could totally make mini black holes like what he used in the fight against Love craft, though they probably wouldn’t look like that. However I still maintain that the scene in Storm Bringer in which Verlaine opens Chuuya’s gate seems more like a wormhole to an antimatter universe, though I will concede that it’s likely a wormhole created using a black hole.

Dazai’s ability - No Longer Human analysis  (short)

Ability: No Longer Human

About: A short analysis on his ability as to whether or not he can control his ability. However, I cannot come to a definite answer.

I know a lot of other people have done an analysis on Dazai’s ability already, but I want to try too. But this is short and only points out a certain scene.

Now, I have read a lot of other analyses about Dazai’s ability, however I noticed one thing that some of them might have left out, sure it’s subtle but I caught it.

In those analyses I’ve read, people who wrote them, always included somewhere that Dazai cannot control his ability or whether or not if he could. There were scenes that showed this especially the one where Dazai had said that he wishes he could’ve helped the Agency during the Cannibalism arc. However, he could not because, he was injured and his ability would have probably nullified Yosano’s. 

But, I noticed something in Episode 19 - Will of Tycoon, which was during the Guild arc. Atsushi was being manipulated by Q’s ability. Dazai tries to talk some sense into him and thereafter looks for Q’s doll. When he finally gets it, he picks it up, however, his ability does not nullify it immediately. It is only after he says ‘No Longer Human’ that it cancels out Q’s ability. (i am not sure if this happened exactly the same in the manga as well)

There are other instances where his ability seems to nullify another without reciting his ability’s name, like during season one where he cancels out the numbers ability. 

Unfortunately, I cannot determine as to whether or not he can control No Longer Human. But, I just wanted to point this out, that scene. So, tell me your thoughts on this. If he could not control his ability, No Longer Human would have nullified Q’s ability right away, without having to wait for him to say “No Longer Human’ out loud. But this is just my perspective and anyway, I can’t come to a definite conclusion.

Analysis about Fyodor's ability Crime & Punishment? Any interesting though?

Guys, I just said that Fyodor and Hunting Dogs have appeared too short for me to be able to make a good analysis for it :’D . But I will try, although this will be less of analysis and more of speculations.

Fyodor Dostoyevsky, the current main villain and also Dazai’s rival in ‘my keikaku is better than your keikaku’ as Lea, bless her genius mind, has said. His Ability, Crime and Punishment, is one of the most mysterious Ability given that he only uses it two times. TWO. FREAKING. TIMES. It’s amazing how much damage he inflicts on Yokohama while only using his Ability two times. And those two times are for unimportant things.

Fyodor’s Ability, as shown in the images below, enabled him to kill with just a touch (are you Light Yagami from Death Note? But if Light needs his book you just touches them?). The touch disregard layers of clothing, as seen that the soldier got killed despite wearing protective clothing. It’s unclear whether this also affect people shielded by Ability like Akutagawa’s space tear.

So far he only kills people that he touches, but it’s unclear whether he still hide other ways he can kill people. After all, he said it himself.

So, it won’t surprise me at all if he suddenly show another Ability and smirks haughtily and says ‘no, when did I ever say that my Ability is to kill people. It’s you who thinks so’.

But if his Ability truly enables him to kill someone with just a mere touch, disregarding protective clothing, then he is one of the most dangerous Ability user. It’s unknown what is the needed factor for him to be able to kill someone so easily, but @blackandwhitemusician has discussed this question before. There is speculations that Fyodor’s Ability kill people who has ‘sins’ and his Ability ‘punish’ them with death. Since ‘sins’ are a very vague concept and Fyodor himself seems to have a very different moral compass than normal people, it seems that the guilt of the target of his Ability is the one who killed them. The way of dead of the target is according to the ‘sins’ the target felt, since they pointed out that in the first picture of Fyodor’s victim, his collar (which is the proof of his slavery) came off.

I kinda want to argue that the boy himself said that the collar won’t come off and it’s not that releasing the collar will kill him. Maybe it’s more because Ace and him died that the collar got loose, but again, with Fyodor I’m not 100% sure.

That theory can only be proven if Fyodor touches someone like Atsushi who has many guilt in his life (despite being innocent and none of the bad things in his life happening is from his fault). Or Dazai, who also has distorted morals. But Dazai is immune to Fyodor’s Ability. Maybe Mori?

Also, there is the question why in Dead Apple only Fyodor’s Ability is so friendly with him while other’s Ability (again, except Dazai) all went for their blood. And then there is this famous scene.

Fyodor said that he is crime, while his Ability is the punishment. And that crime and punishment are good friends. If punishment won’t punish crime, then what does his Ability punish in other people? Their ‘sins’? He also said this.

He said that the crime was thinking and breathing, but isn’t thinking and breathing what makes human alive? Then does he punish them for being alive at all? He said that he wants to get rid of Ability user from the world, and while maybe Ability user are not all innocent, why? Even normal people constantly do crime in BSD.

...wait, this is getting out of hand. I’m speculating his Ability, not Fyodor himself. But I think his Ability ties strongly with his mindset... argh, this is why I don’t want to analyze Fyodor too much. I should already know from experience that trying to understand people like Fyodor will only get me headache and more confused.

Let’s move on, shall we? Hmm... if he has to touch people to kill them, then people with Abilities that enables them to fight from range is fantastic. Akutagawa, Kyouka, Chuuya, Kunikida, Hirotsu, etc is perfect for the job. But if his Ability also affect them if he touches their Abilities, then everyone has to put aside their Abilities and use guns or knives instead. Now that I think about it, this method of fighting is the same if one wants to kill Dazai. And also just like Dazai, this boss of the rats also always hide and never show himself on the battlefield unless he is 100% sure he is going to win. I mean, he is playing a freaking cello when the ADA was running around like headless chicken trying to find him.

So yeah, to beat this guy you literally need Dazai. No Dazai, no dead Fyodor. While other Ability user may beat him in a fight, but he is so cunning he can beat Ranpo in mind games. (It makes me wonder why Dazai don’t just... bring Kunikida or Akutagawa with him or at least a gun when he met with Fyodor rather than just let himself being shot by a sniper. If he kills Fyodor at that moment, they will have less trouble now. But of course, what is a normal human being like me can even try to understand the mind games of geniuses like Fyodor and Dazai lol)

Although, unlike Dazai whose Ability is always active, Fyodor seems to be capable to activate it at will. When the boy was drying Fyodor’s hair with a towel, he didn’t die. So maybe someone can touch Fyodor without dying if Fyodor didn’t see the need to kill them. I mean, can you imagine going to town and every people that accidentally bump into you dying?

I think that’s all. If Fyodor somehow show us more of his Ability in the future maybe I can make analysis of it, but for now this speculations is all I can give.

Suehiro Tecchou’s Ability Analysis : Plum Blossoms in Snow

Tecchou’s Ability is probably the one most seen by now from the Hunting Dogs, although since we had never seen him fight for real it’s also hard for me to make a good analysis of him, but I will try my best. This is in response to an anon requesting Tecchou’s Ability Analysis from other asks.

Suehiro Tecchou, one of the Hunting Dogs, with his Ability named Plum Blossoms in Snow. (Again, an Ability name that doesn’t fit with his Ability. I mean, if you want to be horrid, his Ability name can be from when he used his Ability to cut apart his enemies, which dyed the surroundings red like plum blossoming in the snow?)

Tecchou’s Ability enabled him to manipulate the shape of his sword. We see this when he elongated the sword to become so long that it reaches a fleeing car that already gained grounds away from him. The other is when he cuts his enemies, the sword bends to cut multiple opponents at once.

So far, we have only seen Tecchou uses his Ability in a really direct offensive way. He just make his sword longer so that it can reach the enemy, or bend it so that he can hit multiple enemies at once. The fact that he can bend the shape of the sword made it really hard to dodge, since the sword can be like a homing projectile that will follow the target wherever it escapes. The way the sword bends also enabled him to hit multiple enemies at once, so he will be fine even if he was surrounded. The shape his sword can bend is pretty rigid so far (I mean, he only shows the blade can bend in a pretty sharp angle, but can he make the sword like a whip that can encircle and trap the enemies), and it is also unknow to what kinds of shape the sword can be manipulated.

Can he shaped it into a shield? Since he can elongated it to a really long distance, the limitation of the sword material aren’t a problem. Does the sword has to hold the definition shape of a sword? Like, can he manipulated the sword into becoming an axe? Is it just like Akutagawa’s Rashoumon, where he can manipulate the shape of his weapon? Or is he limited to just elongation and bending?

Is his Ability limited to just ‘sword’? Can he transform other people’s swords? How many swords he can manipulate at once? So many questions orz I need Tecchou to show us his Ability more, because right now his Ability is kind of overlapping with Tachihara’s metal manipulation. Is the material of the sword affect his Ability? For example if he only has a toy plastic sword, can he still manipulate it? Or is he restricted to metal sword? What about sword made from wood?

See? I only have questions lol I can’t really make analysis. We only have Kunikida’s analysis after a really short battle of Tecchou’s Ability so...

So far, we haven’t see a glaring weakness of his Ability. His Ability to manipulate his sword made it a really versatile weapon for all ranges. The enemies will had a hard time blocking (Akutagawa’s space rupture shield only protect his front, Tecchou just have to bend his sword to attack his behind) and no escape since Tecchou’s Ability has a really ridiculous range (even Atsushi with his speed will have a hard time, although his regeneration may support him to continue running until Tecchou reached his limit). The only weakness I can think of is that no matter how long or no matter how bendy Tecchou made his sword, the sword in the end is just one object. If someone managed to break the sword, then Tecchou’s Ability will be useless (unless he can control the shards of the swords)

The only Ability user I can see threatening him are Tachihara, Kajii, Hirotsu, and Chuuya. Dazai isn’t going to work because even if he can nullify Tecchou’s Ability, Tecchou just have to use his sword to stab Dazai like a normal person. Tachihara can control metal and Tecchou’s sword is made from metal, Tecchou will be unable to use his sword at all against Tachihara. Chuuya can use his gravity manipulation to seal the sword to the ground and forced Tecchou to fistfight. Kajii can use his bombs and become a suicide bomber since he will be fine and I don’t know if Tecchou’s sword can handle being bombed, he will have to kill Kajii before he gets too close. While Hirotsu can use his Ability to keep the sword away from him (although it will be a stalemate since both forces can’t go near each other).

Akutagawa and Tecchou’s fight will be very messy and chaotic since both of them are object manipulation Ability user. The winner will be the one who can attack the other from a blind spot or outlast the other.

It seems that his sword are sharp enough to pierce Kenji’s tough body. It’s unknown whether he can pierce through Fitzgerald’s and Atsushi’s tough bodies too. He is really great at martial arts, although Tecchou has shown the inability to keep his focus on his surroundings and not just his target.

(Isn’t it show just how savage Jouno is that he didn’t even bother warning Tecchou of the incoming car. I don’t believe that someone that is able to hear the heartbeat of someone else miles away from him unable to hear a car approaching)

So yeah, ambush is effective against him when he is focused on something else. Someone with very good resilience like Atsushi can be the bait while Chuuya or Akutagawa attack as backup/ambush. Although since the full extent of his Ability is not revealed yet, we can’t be sure if Tecchou can be defeated with just that.
