I don’t have the exact source (I’m gonna go look for it though!!) but I think Rebecca Sugar said that one thing that her younger brother and Steven both have in common is that they’re both half Jewish.

So some fans are speculating that Rose was probably Jewish, though I’m not entirely sure like maybe she was talking about Greg?? But if Garnet can be black then I’m pretty sure anything’s possible when it comes to Gems!
