Wanda had managed to keep to herself since she was on her own. Maybe it was easier that way. She couldn’t bring any sort of pain to someone she loved, and it meant fewer people asking questions that involved too complicated of answers. She did want to help people now, but she just couldn’t seem to figure out the how. No matter what she did, the slightest contact meant her and the other person were experiencing their worst fears. The deep ones that would leave them lying in bed, wide-eyed wakefulness unable to leave them. And she couldn’t stop it. It happened every single time.

And she was reminded of that as someone came near to where she was reading. She tried to stick her nose further into her book, but it was no use. She could feel him waiting by her. “I... Hi?”

Wanda smiled at Clint, leaning over and caressing his cheek.  Less than a week ago she had woken up married to him.  With every passing day she wanted less and less to end it.  Over the past week they had spent a lot of time together, from finding out what had happened to just talking.  It had been the first time in forever she had let herself get close to someone. 

“What are you waiting for?” She asked softly.  He had been a complete gentleman and hadn’t even kissed her.  But more and more each day she found herself falling more and more in love with him.  “I want this.”

Clint raised an eyebrow as Wanda suddenly slid into the bath in front of him, then wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close. “Hey there, beautiful. What made you decide to join me?” He kissed her shoulder gently. Whenever they were together, he found it almost impossible to keep from kissing her.

Wanda hummed, leaning back against him, glancing at him over her shoulder. Her eyes shut contentedly for a moment as she felt his lips against her skin. “I came by to ask you a question, heard you running the water. I was going to just go back to my room and wait, but I forgot the question and decided joining you would be better than waiting.”
