Life's a Beach: Summer Daze
The hit RealiTV series is back with a summertime spin-off to satisfy your off-season viewing needs! Life’s A Beach: Summer Daze stars eight members of the main cast living and working together at the nearby Vistana Beach Club. Inspired by Real World and its sister series The Challenge (and maybe a little bit Saved By The Bell: Malibu Sands, don’t judge), participants will deal with living in close quarters, Boys vs Girls missions, outings organized by the crew, and everything else that comes with life in Atlantis Beach.
This is mostly for a little backstory and a fun connection for incoming characters, as well as the potential for future on-air mini-reunions. Please think of the following as just skeleton ideas! Send an ask to Rockett or the ABL blog if you’d like to add your character!
The Zack Morris: The popular guy, probably in one of the Tremblay frats, and a schemer at his core. Thinks he’s a gift to wo/mankind. Friends/social rivals with the Slater. Even though his machinations are fairly harmless, some of them make him look like the dumbest genius. Even when working as part of a team, he seems to only be working for himself. The Kelly Kapowski: The bonafide ‘hot chick’. Often pairs with the Zack or Slater by default, but usually does her own thing since they seem to fight over her attention a lot. Trying to work her way from the ground up and is really using the show as a means to an end. Known for being the cheerleader of the gang, she’s probably the one that complains the least about losing challenges. Currently: RESERVED - Name TBD by Stephie (FC: TBD)
The AC Slater: A jock from a tightknit family, trying to win the respect of his father peers. He’s personable and a little lusty after the Kelly, but generally loses out to the Zack. He’s a lifeguard and a gym rat, so he think she can easily make up for the lack of Kelly in his life. Competitive, but his want to be alpha over the Zack often overshadows the spirit of the games (and is usually seen as fairly annoying to the Kelly to boot). The Jessie Spano: The hard-working smart girl that wants to make a difference in the world. Mostly clashes with the Slater over differences in opinion, although others suspect there may be underlying reasons behind the tension. Her strong moral center and stubbornness often can cause trouble, but being a true team player evens it out. Seems to be the planner of the girls’ team. The Screech Powers: The general dork of the group that was taken under the wing of the Zack in the previous season of LAB. The audience seems to question if anyone is really friends with him and he’s often the butt of jokes, but remains happy-go-lucky. Continuously trying to impress the Lisa, though she’s almost always looking the other direction. He’s into the challenges for the fun and comraderie, usually the one coming up with consolation prizes for the losing team with the Kelly. Currently: RESERVED - Name TBD by Alex
The Lisa Turtle: The rich and privileged girl that seems clueless when it comes to reality, as she’s mostly interested in gaining followers for her fashion blog. Several of her stunts to get attention result in drama with the other girls and occasionally the Screech. She can be fairly useless during sporty challenges, but will still try her best despite complaining about them. Currently: OPEN
The Richard Belding: The “dad” of the group, he thinks he’s hilarious. Constantly trying to catch the rest of the group in their lies and schemes, but is typically evaded. Really just seems to be looking to have fun with the group, even though he’s more mature than the rest tend to act. Generally can be viewed as the planner of the team, although some of the plans are laughable at best. Currently: TAKEN - James Sarpong by Nemo (FC: Keith Powers)
The Tori Scott: The more abrasive of the bunch, the Tori is the newest (of these eight) to the LAB cast. Smart-mouthed and direct, she’s quick to point out what she thinks is wrong with everyone, leading to several bouts of intense back-and-forths. Most people tend to wonder what drew her to Atlantis Beach and Tremblay in the first place. Although she’s combative, this personality quirk often comes in handy during competitions, as she can channel it into her efforts to win.
