genuinely curious because you mentioned this and I haven't seen it at all myself - where/how have you seen people demonizing abolish in reference to legs and owen's dynamic?
Usually in fanfics whenever people really really like bloodletting and people need a villain, I assume because Abolish/Legs is the second most popular Legs ship and due to how close the two are. The issue is that he's never even like... a vaguely in-character villain? Because none of the people writing this have actually watched him or know who he is in general, they just make him do whatever the plot demands. Which includes:
Burning down Legundo's house because Abolish is EVIL and HATES VAMPIRES
Trying to seduce Legundo into leaving Owen by getting naked in front of him out of nowhere
And also probably more I'm unaware of because I don't read bloodletting fics, I'm only aware of these because my friends have sent me them. It's like. Make up an oc at that point? Or choose a different character? I can picture several other townspeople doing the first one, definitely not Abolish though. And the second one is 100% something Sausage would do, but Christian Religious Trauma Abolish "Represses Everything" Veylocke would never in a million years do that.
However! This is definitely not all or even a big percentage of fanfics. The only time I ever read bloodletting is if it's Abolish/Legs/Owen and there are a few good bloodcuring fics, and most bloodletting fics of course don't even mention Abolish. (One of my favorite fics ever is actually a bloodcuring fic!)

In six months we'll finally reach Wilbur Soot 2.0 final form with Avid and people will start putting ASS (Avid Support Squad) in their bios and he'll be making music about how everyone is so mean to him all the time and how much they hate Legundo specifically
If the vsmp fandom was better we'd be doing Squirrelflight vs Bramblestar "who is worse" levels of bloodletting discourse but unfortunately most people don't realize either of them suck at all
clarifying question: does no asks of legundo/owen extend to poly ships with them involved, or is it only an issue in solo dynamics?
Depends on the ship, I would just say assume I wouldn't like it unless I've posted about it before
