the disconnect
‘Look at it like this, I know the sky is blue and that grass is green. I know that Return of the Jedi is the best Star Wars movie. I know that I like books and Bake Off and playing the piano. I don’t question those things, I know them. Yet when I try to believe that I am loved, there’s this disconnect, I don’t know it, how do I know it? How do I get the voices to go away? How do I make myself feel it? Just know it without questioning it?’ It’s infuriating.’
