Hiya! Could you... Tell us a little bit about your writing process? Do you have any rituals? Maybe a favourite place to write?
Me?… I’d be honored!!!
My writing usually begins with me crying about it for hours on end (completely kidding)
Hmmm well… after I’ve chosen one to write which is ALWAYS a battle tbh, I usually have already been thinking about that request for a couple days enough to know what I want to write…
Then I sit down, and start typing it out… The hardest part is getting started with an intro… It’s really hard to come up with different beginnings after you’ve been writing nonstop for years!
Throughout my writing… there’s a few hiccups… sometimes I feel like I’ve used a certain word too much, so then Thesaurus.com becomes my best friend! Type in any word, and it’ll not only give you the most simplest of definitions, but it’ll give you the best and least of their varieties!
Then other times, I’m looking at my writing and just decide to scrap the whole thing! Just because it doesn’t fit what I was picturing in my head or I figure the character would never do something like that! lol
Then come the bad times where I’m so tired… So very exhausted of seeing the same request haunting my dreams and looming over my shoulder when I’m doing other stuff, that I just think ‘fuck it’ and post whatever I’ve shat out lol ;;;; that’s probably not a good thing to admit, but it’s the most honest thing I could think of!
- Like that Akaashi smut I posted yesterday? I honestly, was not very happy with how it turned out… I was not a fan of the ending and I tried like 6 different times to fix the ending - 6 different endings! Finally, I figured I have way too many requests waiting in the inbox to be worried over a single post, so I posted it!…. and somehow y’all loved it! And that makes me feel better about it and continue writing!
Lol I wouldn’t say I have any specific rituals… I like to type when I have my beat headphones on…. They’re the really good ones that cancel out all noise? That way I can actually focus on my writing and not on my little yappy dogs! lol
As for the writing place… I always gravitate to the same spot on my moms couch… It’s like right in the corner of the sectional? enough place for me to stretch my legs, my dog to curl up next to me, and for me to toss my computer to the side and take a nap lol
When I’m at work… I usually sit next to a window… somewhere I can look off into the distance and wish I was a better writer I knew what the hell I’m doing with my life lol! There’s a ton of deer on the campus of the company I work for, so I like to watch them while writing y’alls request! So if you randomly see the word ‘deer’ in any of my writings…… that’s why lol
