AI ads are driving me insane

Okay I just got to rant about this stupid ad on YouTube that has been PLAGUING ME for MONTHS.

You know how it goes: “Guys, 3 days into this game and I have uninstalled all other games on my phone!” or “In this game, you can choose to rob the caravan or choose to guard it. This is a game where slaying monsters-” and it has the most obvious AI generated shit pretending to be the actual game, when we all know the actual gameplay is complete ass. I thought false advertising is illegal yet this company is so BLATANT about it.

I have that stupid AI voice stuck in my head and I need to talk about it 😭

I just saw a bunch of people rage over the WooCommerce meme ad. 😂 It wasn't even that it was specially annoying but makes me wonder how many people actually understand how this works? Someone has to give Tumblr money so it can run. So either they charge us all subs or there's ads.

And considering Meta's platforms and Youtube, Tumblr ads aren't even that bad. You can just scroll through them and they're not as often. Also there's no "influencers" or "paid promotions" so it's not even like the companies are trying to be sneaky about shoving their products at you.

I fully understand and sympathise with those who used Woo and had issues, btw. But marketing wise? The ad perfectly makes sense. It's targeting the right audience (bloggers who are often small businesses) through a language they prefer (memes).

I really really wanna know the reality of Alo's financials. They feel like a company that got a boat load of investment and instead of making good products, is just spending it on marketing.

The quality of their products isn't worth the price point. I was gifted an Alo set by a client and the quality is abysmal. For more than a hundred dollars, I'd expect the clothes to have even stitching and be durable atleast.

Even though I'm a fan of BTS and BP, it didn't click in my head that the Alo that they're ambassadors for is the same Alo that all these WAGs and influencers are wearing 💀 I can't believe I didn't connect the dots until now 😭 Alo definitely has money if they can afford Jin and Jisoo, who are literally two of the most popular members in their groups AND the main visuals. Who needs WAGs to promote the brand when you have those two as ambassadors?

/ I swear i hate Alo, they send like 8-10 different fits a week to each influencer (it's a crazy waste when you think about it) and all the wags have to post sport ads every 2 mornings. It's boring.

Alo's quality is terrible for their price point. All the outfits they send to influencers are worn once and then discarded because they keep s sending more. It's so wasteful. A better alternative that would bring good PR to their brand would be to have influencers donate the outfits to womens shelters. They could film it and set up a donation link as well and the amount of revenue they wouod get is astounding.

A WHOLEEEEE LOT. They pay not only every other F1 WAG, but football wags as well. I don’t keep up with Kelly or Magui that much (the other main contenders for Alo’s ambassadors) but Kika has a personalized link even so no wonder she’s posting every other day LMFAO she probably gets proceeds per sale she gets from that link + the advertising fee. If she’s making bank why would she not post about it all the time 🤷‍♀️

Good for them.

I don't follow any wags on IG except Melissa, Lily and Alex so I don't have to see ads every time I watch a story.
