Headcanon

Though she was born in Mexico, Alejandra definitely defines herself as Nicaraguan. 

There was a period of time briefly after meeting Jones that she tried identifying with her Mexican birth, or even her American father.

This culminates in 'The Circle of Four' when she sees her fantasy of meeting her mother and becoming Mexico's guardian, but she instinctively comes home to her temple in Nicaragua.

Drabble under Cut

Alejandra loved Miguel.

She had whispered it a hundred times in a hundred ways throughout the days they were with each other.

Sweating, naked, exhausted, under a canopy of trees.

Simple stolen kisses during the day. 

Small touches during morning prayers.

The flowers and feathers he placed in her hair because she was his angel.

The marks she'd clawed on his back because he was hers.

The year they had spent together was blissful, and with Adam none the wiser. Until it happened.

She hadn't bled when her time came this month with the other girls.

She was no fool. She knew what this probably meant. And Adam would find out about this soon enough. That night, when Miguel met her in their usual spot, she didn't wear her usual smile. His own dropped at this.

"My angel, is something wrong?" His arms wrapped around her, and she lost herself in the embrace.

Slowly, she let herself go, shaking in fear. "I haven't bled... I'm... I'm pregnant, Miguel."

His face lit in a smile until he realized what this meant. Every time either of them attempted to subtly bring up the idea of the two in a relationship, they were shot down. It was sinful. Any type of love except for the kind one shares with the Heavenly Father or one's own family was sinful. It was based in lust. It was drenched in sin. No matter how happy he was that God saw fit to bless them with a child, it wasn't the right time. It wasn't safe. "Marry me," he immediately said.

"What?"

"Marry me. Run away with me to America. Father will not find us. Alejandra, we were meant to have this child. God blessed us for having such a pure love. He will protect us as he protected Mary and Joseph. He will give us safety from Father." He got on a knee. "Alejandra. You are the love of my life. My sun, moon, and stars. Please... be my wife."

Tears filled her eyes as she picked him up. "Yes... Miguel... yes..."

With that, they started running. She killed a jaguar and made pouches out of the skin to hold some of the meat and whatever was edible they could find. After a few days of running, they were almost to Mexico. Almost there. They looked at each other and shared a deep kiss that could only account for part of their love. He was so tall, and his lips soft against hers. Only for her.

Until a shot rang out.

In horror, they looked back to see Adam, holding a shotgun. "You whore," he growled at her. Frozen in fear, he grabbed them both and knocked them out with the butt of his shotgun.

When they woke up, there was barely any light. It was humid and damp and oh God...

This was the sinners' room. Whenever a child sinned, they were sent here.They returned thinner, light flooding from their eyes. And the breath beside her told her that her sweet was there, too. Right beside her, chained chest toward the wall.

"Miguel?"

"I'm here."

"I'm sorry. Whatever happens, I love you."

"So do I."

It didn't take long after for her to notice the blood running down her legs. No. Oh no. Her baby.

Moments later, father approached, with his lash. What seemed like an eternity later, they were released. "Miguel?" She paid no attention to the skin on her back that was torn open, only him.

They washed in the waterfall, as they always did, but this time it was different.  "I am sorry," they whispered repeatedly to each other, clinging to each other.

Alejandra loved Miguel, and as she dropped flowers atop his makeshift grave, she hoped he forgave her, more than anything.

Drabble under the Cut.

My name is Alejandra.

I don't have a last name because Father says whenever sin is gone, we have no need for such distinctions. Once sin is gone, everyone will be the same. I am one of twenty-four. We were adopted by Father and raised in this temple. We eat at the same time, undergo the same training, eat the same food, dress the same way. We are one. We are a family.

My name is Alejandra Adams, for the sake of getting food from the town.

Miguel is with me today as we swim in the waterfall. He is a few inches taller than me, his eyes and skin a shade darker, but his smile is just as bright as the full moon over Nicaragua, the country we live in. Our clothes lay in a pile on the land while my lips meet his for what feels like the first time, though I know it must be the thousandth. He shivers a little for attention, and I press myself closer to him, as I know he wants.

Father always said about love, but I didn't know it could exist in any way aside from between God and myself. But now I feel closer to God when I look in Miguel's eyes, when we sneak away to make love at night, when our hands meet during daily training.

My name is Alejandra the Spirit of Vengeance.

Miguel is dead. Dead at my hands. As are all the others I came to know as my siblings and friends. All of Nicaragua has been cleansed, and as I change, I don't know if I should be doing this. The cleansed look miserable. In fact, they don't look anything. Their eyes stare blankly ahead and I feel as though I have killed them all.

As I hurtle toward Earth, I know that the world shouldn't be cleansed. I was foolish to think such a thing. 

My name is Alejandra Jones.

The name disgusts me. I am disgusted to be associated with him. My father. My real one. The blood of children sticks to him in a foul stench. "You have plenty of both. I'm proud of you." 

Being left as an empty husk is too good for him. I hate him. I hate him for selling me. I hate him for taking me from my mother. I hate him for what he did to my numerous siblings. But the name is mine, no matter how it disgusts me.

I am a monster. I have no name.

My skin burns and I feel trapped like this. It all burns. My name was Alejandra, but I don't deserve the name of a protector. I see people scream as they look at me. Children hide, and through scorched vision, I see myself in the mirror.

God, why do you hate your daughter so? I gave everything for these people. The blood of my family stains my hands, that I know. The blood of the lover I didn't marry stains my hands. Is this my punishment? Father would never approve our love. But I would marry him if I had the chance. Heal me, Lord. Though I know I am not deserving of such mercy.

Fire. Fire comes down and hits me. And I am the Ghost Rider again. But where Zarathos was angry and filled with hatred, this seems quieter. As though an angel is with me. Change back, it says in a gentle voice, and I do as told. Has heaven taken pity on me?

Whole. I am whole once more.

My name is Alejandra Blaze, after the only man who cared enough to teach me.

I search for him, and will search as long as necessary. To make amends. But for now, as Blaze would do, and as Ghost Riders have done since the dawn of humanity, I will avenge.

55. Share a relationship story. Not really a “relationship” story, but a few years back I was dating this girl I really liked, and she loved (still loves? I guess) horror movies, and I hate them. Like, really, really hate them. But me, trying to be nice and all, still went to the movies with her to watch those kind of movies. That’s how much I was into her. I hope she appreciates that. (maybe you were expecting some dirty or more interesting story, but ha ha no, sorry).

71. What was your kinkiest wet dream? I don’t really remember? All I remember is that it was with Lena, and her perfect boobs. And that it was good, really good.

1. Are looks important in a relationship? People always say that they don’t, but they kinda do. Before people start thinking I’m shallow: I don’t like someone easily, and they have to catch my attention first, in order for me to develop a crush on them or even think about being in a relationship. Maybe it’s their eyes, maybe it’s their smile, but something from their look has to attract me. Of course this only applies out of the internet, cause online, there are other things that has caught my attention in the past, but that’s another story.

2. Are relationships ever worth it? I wanna say no, but that’s because relationships scare me. But yes, they are worth it. You get to learn things, about yourself, about life, and such. Even the most messed up relationships teach you things (like the kind of person you don’t want to be with, or something like that). It depends, really, on a lot of factors.

9. Describe your perfect mate. Someone who won’t try to fix me, someone who won’t try to complete me, but who instead complements me (complements, not compliments), and wants to share their happiness and their life with me. Someone honest. Someone who has a passion for something, art, music, writing, just something. Someone who understand that sometimes I want space, because I get overwhelmed. Someone who is not scared of the way I am.

 11. Do you ever want to get married? It’s not something I need, but with the right person, at the right time, I could totally consider. I’m not really interested in the wedding itself, though. The commitment it represents can be obtained without a wedding. Oh, but the legal stuff you get from being legally married (where it’s legal) is good, so, yeah, maybe.

17. Do you like kissing in public? Depends. Extreme PDA (gay or straight) makes me uncomfortable, and anxious. Light kisses, sure. But that’s about it. I’m a very private person.

20. Do you shower every day? Yes. I know washing your hair every day it’s bad, but I do it anyways.

27. Has someone ever written a song or poem for you? A song, not that I know of. A poem, I think so. One of my ex girlfriends had a blog and used to write about me a lot, ha.

42. How long can you just kiss until your hands start to wander? I’m very good at controlling myself, unless I’m drunk. But it depends on who am I making out with, what ~stage~ of our relationship we are in, and such. 

58. What are five ways to win your heart? Omg, I really don’t know. I don’t think there’s something I can think of as a way of winning my heart, it just happens.

61. What is the first thing you notice in someone? If they’re a girl. So, basically boobs. I’m joking! Their eyes, their lips, their hands.

67. What is your idea of the perfect date? Good company, chinese food, wine, a nice dessert, and conversation that just flows. Laughter. Maybe a tv show or movie! (+ points if it’s one of my fave). Basically, I’d rather stay in. Although, a Disneyland date sounds perfect too, sigh.
