So the problem is I've not really *seen* many takes regarding Aversa to fully disagree with? If anything, my "not headcannon" is me actually straight up contradicting Canon. See, if you don't have Aversa marry Robin, her canonical post game (if you recruit her) is returning to her ACTUAL village of origin and just... settling down. Trying to rebuild

You're telling me Aversa is going to settle down for a calm like she hasn't lived a life groomed to be a fighter and tactician and dark magician and knows nothing of normalcy? Really? I believe she *tried* to repair her old home, but the task gave weird feelings due to the history attached, or just the fact she doesn't knwo what a domestic life or town should be like so... while touching base, swinging by in her travels back and fourth, she just kept finding things to do elsewhere instead.

This does work out nicely for RP purposes as well.

Raven's Aversa's last straw... especially considering she's a dark magician, and there's implications that dark magic can be taxing on the mind long term... lose Raven, the only thing she currently trusts? it's a sharp slope for sure.

Ib, however, is young enough she would... recover from anything. her parents will help, they do love their daughter even if there's some disagreements between them on how to raise her, and things of high value to her are relatively limited. Losing Garry in a reunion verse would take a heavy toll, for sure, but she'd be able to heal.

guilt - if they experience guilt, what are the signs that they feel guilty? do they avoid eye contact, go quiet, try to avoid what they feel guilty about? do they feel guilty for the action and how it affected others, or for being caught? can they ignore their guilt?

I'm going to answer for Aversa, and Asperatus, as the former heavily inspired the latter. Asperatus under the cut

Aversa isn't one to express her guilt. She was raised, quite literally, to manipulate and use others for whatever gains she may need do so. be it lies, seduction, blackmail, or otherwise. It is hard to even bring her to feel guilty, as she similarly expects others to try and use her, as is the case in the Grimleal. As was the case with her own father, apparently.

However, Aversa is a Loyal beast. If you can get her loyalty, get her to genuinely be on her side and showcase betrayal of how she did something to you, without breaking that loyalty... She's avoidant. If it isn't something that can just be Fixed, then she'll leave it behind, leave you behind, to avoid making it worse. She doesn't know how to handle guilt, or how to fix it, so she'll just... fly away.

Asperatus is similar in many ways, but where as the Grimleal teach Aversa to be cunning, Stratoverse cares far more about ones physical and magical strength then any amount of smarts. This even goes down to domestic issues.

If the guilt, should you get her to care enough to think she went too far, seems to be over something frivolous, well, then fight hwr about it! She doesn't have the liberty to fly away, and if she can't fix it' then fine. She'll be right, by her ability to beat you. either that settles it or now it sover and she can just forget it.

There's a reason she actually enjoys the nightshift, despite her desire to climb the ranks...

How often do they show their genuine emotions to others versus just the audience knowing?

My question is how often does she even share her true feelings with thebaudience? with herself even?

Asperatus and Aversa are similar in this regard, of vulnerability being a foriegn enough concept that they don't really feel it in themself usually: not for what it really is. Most negative emotions all get squared away in the same box that will lead to annoyed or angry reactions.

Aversa is... improving on this, somewhat. very slowly, for sure, but she is improving on exploring more then the disguise of perfection she was raised to wear...

But asperatus as a full culture has to show the strong face or face the risks... and thats ignoring her being strong enough to be a little weird (liking the night more then the day in a society that worships the sun)
