About Ayla's surface

((I never stated what were the times Ayla came from but I'm now sure she doesn't come from modern days. It's mostly to help me justify some things about her past. She probably came from times around industrial revolution, though not exactly because she doesn't originate from Earth we know. I guess her world was more steampunkish? I still have to think about it...))

📱 : Does your muse prefer calling or texting?

((Both prefer texting, with Beliad prefering real life conversation. Ayla likes it more because she can take however long she wants to between replying. Beliad prefers texting because everything said is saved and then people cannot deny saying things.))

Amethyst Calm: How do they usually sleep, in what position? Do they like plenty of pillows, blankets and/or plush toys?

((Neither Beliad nor Ayla need sleep any longer.

Ayla has in her home ‘bed’ tho - or rather pile of pillows and blankets. A soft, comfortable nest to chill and rest. She would like to have some plushies (for now have one), but it’s not a want she would voice, being taught it’s stupid and childish. Used to she would sleep curled up on side.))

Coral Fragments: How well does your muse deal with stress? Do they do anything in particular to help them deal with it, and if so what do they do?

((Ayla at first gets snappy, sarcastic, defensive and violent. Growling and shouting at people. Threatening to stab them or throwing things. But if it’s prolonged stress she starts to shut down, growing completly indiffrent and even more pessimistic. She doesn’t have any healthy way to deal with stress.

Beliad turns to laughter. They’ll just laugh at themselves and whatever stressful situation they’re in. On the other hand they get colder and more merciless. They plot how to get out of the stressful situation as soon as possible. Calculating, searching for opportunities. They may get really cruel when dealing with the source of stress.

💧: Are there any places they avoid? If so, why?

((For Ayla it’s usually the Hotland as she doesn’t do well with the heat. And the temperature doesn’t make the puzzles any easier. Also plasec where yellowflowers grow. Even after all this time they make her feel uneasy.

For Bel it’s some areas of the Void. They are daring and love risk but they don’t have deathwish yet. They also avoid places with too much silver.))

[Ayla stared at the ground in silence as her mother asked her. Troubles again. But she didn’t feel guilty. She believed what she did was right. Now she just have to live through the scolding and punishment.]

“Ayla! I asked you a question!“

“...yeees... But she destroyed Little Andrew toy train and-!“

“Quiet! I just asked you if you did it not for exuse! And I think I prefered to not hear it. I can’t believe you hit daughter of respected family just because of some worker’s kid.“

“But you know he couldn’t protect himself! He-“

“-is disposable! You must understand that one worker can be easily replaced!”

“No! He is my friend! Ack!”

“Quiet! Don’t be riduculous! Friends with such low-class?! You’re really disappointing me for even getting such idea! ...Tell me. How being a friend with him benefits you?“

“Exactly. It doesn’t. It’s waste of time. Now, Madelline would be valuable connection but you had to mess it up. Do you know that what you did almost cost your father the contract with her family factory? Do you know how much your action cost us? No. You don’t care. You’re just selfish brat. ...sigh. Why can’t you be like your brother? He knows how to choolse valuable friends. But you... Get off my sight. Go to your room and think how you can apologize to Maddie. And don’t think you’ll go out soon. “
