(*waves hello*) Besides the one little scene we get in the manga/anime, how do you think Eren and Bertholdt interacted during their training? Or, I guess, how does Bertholdt think about Eren at this time?

Well... Since they had no idea about Eren’s special abilities, Bertholdt sort of tried to keep his distance, mostly because of Eren’s abrasive personality, but also because of Eren’s obvious attitude towards the titans, and understandably. He also very honestly felt guilt for Eren’s hardships, because even though he had accepted the mission, he still never felt good about it. Although regardless of these circumstances, he still made friends with Armin because they were both rather quiet halves to their best friends (they also certainly shared books and talked about outside the wall) 

So I’d say he saw Eren more as a loose cannon threat to the people around him more than himself as a titan. But he certainly respected his determination.

hello, i'm called bert, but you can call me amy pond, merry brandybuck, bones, Edmund, merlin belle, roo, or any number of nicknames that i have been gifted with. my name in reality is amber and i have come to terms with the fact that it is not quite as otherworldy as i wished because of the fact that amber is quite a respectable hobbit name.

i am a hobbit, whovian, nerdfighter and i am always hungry. if you want to find me, you’d only have to look for the girl with the massively curly hair with her nose buried in a book, large cup of tea, and a pen stuck behind her ear. i’m a writer by nature, a lover of books and stories, and i secretly wish i lived in england or ireland.
