For me, creation can only come out of a certain kind of unhappiness. They say in Japan, this thing like the hungry spirit - the hungry mind - is what gets you going forward.

Rei Kawakubo
You're faced with creation, you're faced with something very mysterious and very mystical, whether it's looking at the ocean or being alone in a forest, or sometimes looking at the stars. There's really something very powerful about nature that's endlessly mysterious and a reminder of our humanity, our mortality, of more existential things that we usually manage to not get involved with very often because of daily activity.
Shirin Neshat
Star-crossed lovers under stolen skies ,
One kissing the other's eyes,
Touching their soul with terrible fright
For the burning of all that is bright
Resides in the chamber of each of their hearts.
Because faith is a ruthless parent with spikes
Instead of fingers, all that she know is how to strike;
Holds you in an embrace until it slashes your chest,
Slaughtering us all in its gruesome and tiny nest.
So the story goes as we all had seen:
Poison on their lips, bruises on their skin,
An empty hand and a fallen crown,
Sone splashed wine on a white gown;
A sight to mortify the crowd.
And the narator sits still in front of them all
Who are gaping at him in cloudless fall,
For the story is tragic without a reason ,
For his creation is simple treason.
So his mind wimper at the thought of a continuation
Because he knows the faults of such guilty connections:
How love fades under the dew of lawless dawns,
How the body gets bored, how eyes decide to fawn
And ultimately turn cold.
So he embrace the criticism with ease
And returns home at whatever time he pleases
The king size bed empty and haunted by shadows,
By a past that so silently bellows:
"Remember me, you foolish pretender
For your heart is shallow and tender".
When you live inside of your shame, everything you see is inadequate and embarrassing.
