Davina Boyle born the third child in her family with two older brothers and as such she grew up in a world where she was never alone. Everyone was overly protective of her and wanted to make sure that nothing would ever happen to her. When her youngest brother was born she took up that position with him as well, always wanting to make sure he was safe.
She was given the best kinds of education that one could ask for, but Davina was never prepared to rule the country. She was the third child so there was little to no chance that she would one day be Queen. At least that was what she always thought and she was okay with it, happy to reap the benefits of being royal without having to do much more than smile for some cameras.
At least– until she was 21. Her birthday party used as a chance to attack her family, and her eldest brother was killed in an assassination attempt on her father. Very quickly the third in line with no responsibility became the Spare. Because of all of this she was forced to go and study politics, needing to be prepared if she was going to have to take over one day.
She’s always had issues letting people in, afraid that if they see the emotion behind her and that she’s struggling a lot of the time, they’ll think she’s weak. Her eldest brother dying and then her youngest brother, Archibald, disappearing not long after was hard for her and as a result she clung to the one brother she has left. Patrick.
Davina has a genuine fear that she won’t ever find love, so much so she’s considered letting her mother arrange something so that she can have a family sooner rather than later. She’s always wanted to be a mother.
