Hello New Followers

Hi, I'm Feather! Thanks for following my blog. I'm a 36-year-old nonbinary person who lives in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

My interests include but are not limited to dinosaurs (especially modern day birds), spiders (especially salticidae), other animals (I usually tag photos/videos of species that are common phobias. If you need a specific category tagged, let me know), tea (the "wet leaves" in my blog name), podcasts, books (mostly audio and ebooks because I'm legally blind), fiber art (knitting, crochet and other stuff), and hobby coloring. My creativity sideblog is @colorfeathers

I live with three avian roommates, Smärg the female cinnamon pied cockatiel, Fuchur the male cinnamon split to pied cockatiel and Perelin the female whiteface lutino (albino) budgerigar. Perelin has a beak deformity, Fuchur is blind in his left eye and Smärg is a chronic layer so we keep my veterinarian busy :)

I have worked full time as the foodservice specialist at a gas station convenience store for the past 12 years.

As previously mentioned, I am legally blind, and I'm also neurodivergent.

Hello everyone! As I'm looking into using tumblr for my fanfics some more, I decided to do an introduction post again!

I'm feather, 25, she/they/he, and I'm a queer person from the Netherlands, which means that *yes*, English is my second language. I write mainly for 9-1-1 at the moment but I'm in multiple fandoms, so expect posts about (starkid) musicals, kpop girls, marvel, dropout tv, or anything else that's on my mind at the moment.

I love random research and fun facts, and will share whatever I've been looking into for whomever is interested.

My asks are open but I might be slow in replying.

hello party animals

I’m still around, I’m just very tired. My beloved maternal grandmother, Grandma M, took a turn for the worse in December 2017 after being treated for Multiple Myeloma (basically blood plasma cancer) for two years and moved into hospice care. She died halfway through January.

My mother and I have spent nearly every weekend since then working on going through her stuff and fixing up her house to sell. The house is sold (pending closing next month) and we had the estate sale this past weekend.

I am so freaking tired.

My phone can no longer handle the tumblr app and trying to use the mobile web interface (being nagged to use the app that won’t work on my phone) is just too frustrating. I am rarely on my desktop computer so I basically just silently browse through a few favorite tumblrs now and then.

I’m looking forward to being able to enjoy my weekends and spend more time with my flock.

As you may have noticed, I am making an effort to include image descriptions and video transcripts in my original content and reblogs. This is for the benefit of my fellow tumblr-ers with disabilities and those with limited bandwidth. Please note that I am blind and have a sensory processing disability and may miss or misinterpret what I see or hear. I'm doing my best.
