So by the time we get to Civil War, when they’ve had a chance to start figuring out who they are and to have lives outside of Hydra, they’re very afraid of forgetting again! When they go into the cryo in Wakanda, the last thing that happens is Bucky saying “what happens when we wake up?” and Ilya saying “just remember me and we’ll go from there”
