OOC: Kirby isn’t oblivious to death. He’s definitely an innocent little boy deep down and yes he’s incredibly pure and soft, but it’s not like he’s unaware of death. He knows it’s a thing but wholeheartedly is willing to risk his life to protect others. 

I haven’t played many of the Kirby games (Forgotten Land is my first main Kirby game!) but Kirby’s been in some near-death situations when you consider all the tough bosses he faced (esp. Sillydillo, who scares me a little IRL) both in past and present. And in a way it’s taken up to a somewhat extreme at times, such as the Subspace Emissary (since anyone can turn into a trophy and be possibly permanently left in that state if not recovered + revived by someone else).

top 3 headcanons that anyone writing with me should know about ! (Laura and Kirby!)

Laura:

She still respects the Queen of Gran Ocean after finding out about the memory-erasing machine, but she doesn't put her on a pedestal.

2. She is adventurous when it comes to trying new foods. Especially since a lot of the ones on land would be so different than the ones under the sea!

3. Being. Queen. Is. Stressful. And when Laura is a stressed-out workaholic after becoming Queen, she needs someone to remind her to take a step back (or swim back a few paces) and just breathe and chill for a bit. Self-care is important.

Kirby:

Kirby is capable of swallowing up any food in one gulp, but when he's not adventuring, he'll take his time and eat food one bite at a time because he wants to savor how tasty it all is.

2. He adores the Waddle Dees, despite the past history of them being enemies-ish/him kind of eating them several times.

3. And despite fighting DeDeDe many times at this point for varying reasons (both b/c of DeDeDe previously being enemies or being controlled by someone else), Kirby doesn't think the dude is absolutely terrible. He's willing to give the King benefit of the doubt before engaging in battle with him (esp. in the Forgotten Land).
