Headcanon: Romance and Love

Crushes and actual romance being different, Lina would react in different ways. She has a rather childish notion of love due to a lot of her days spent reading and her lack of experience in the real world. She has expectations, being the often genre-savvy lady she is, and gets frustrated when those aren’t met. For all her intelligence, she’s woefully lacking in an understanding in what it takes to be in a relationship and possibly what it actually means to be in love. She tends to ignore the natural progression of a relationship, opting for what she thinks a relationship should be. When the two ideals clash, her anger sparks. She bought in to the fairy tale of romance and the perfect lover. A rich prince. A strapping hero. A charming noble. Not thinking whether these are aspects in a partner she’d want for herself.

If she has a crush on someone, she’ll act a bit expectant, nervous and shy. One of the few times you’ll see her genuinely girly. Lina gets giddy and flustered easily and tries to hide it with acts of aggression. As long as she manages to escape the awkward or embarrassing situation, it doesn’t matter. She can brush it off. She’ll always want to be closer to that person and engage them with what she enjoys. She’ll think too much about her feelings and be unable to fully concentrate unless sufficiently distracted.

If allowed to blossom into a mature romance, or even if more mature feelings bloom in the recesses of her consciousness, Lina will be slightly more lenient and gentle. Without realizing it herself, she’ll be more playful and teasing. Just being around that person will fill her with happiness. Her confidence in romance will still likely not manifest, but she’ll be determined to find out if her feelings are returned. She’s always been one to wear her heart on her sleeve and that would remain so.

💓 When did they have their first crush? ❤ Have they ever been in love? 💕 How easily do they fall in love? 🚗 When did they go on their first date? 🌹 What is their idea of a perfect date?

💓: She was 14 and didn't even realize what was happening. Long story short it ended in tears when the girl she was crushing on started dating someone else but she got over it.❤: No. She has been crushing on people from time to time but never actually fell in love, or went past admiring from afar.💕 : It takes a lot for her to actually fall in love. Its not only due to her lack of experience but the people that raised her always taught her to be guarded about what could make her too vulerable.🚗: She was 17 and was taken out for a picnic in the desert. I had to be cancelled early though do to a spiderant ambush, so it doesn't count in her opinion.🌹: She'd love to go for a walk somewhere green, where lotta plants grow, take a break and have something good to eat and end the day with stargazing on the back of a technical. Very cliché but it's a little dream of hers.
