Here’s some questions that would tell you more about me and my writing experience!!!
Do keep in mind that I am still young and learning! I’ve never published a book before! I do plan to at some point, though!
1. What inspired you to start writing?
I had a lot of ideas that I wouldn’t see in books or anything for that matter. I was and still am obsessed with plot lines!
2. When did you start writing and how long have you been doing it for?
I started writing when I was around 5. Well, it wasn’t really writing, and more so pictures that told a story without words. When I actually started writing stories with words, I was 8 years old!
3. How do you handle writer’s block?
I like to re-read what I wrote, and start getting ideas from that! If that option doesn’t work, I like to listen to music or read quotes!!
4. Describe your writing space.
Very messy. Lots of papers about plot ideas and my characters. It has a pencil sharpener, a globe, a jar of flowers, LED lights, and a couple candles (away from the papers of course!)
5. What is the most difficult part about writing for you?
Trying to do a build up to a plot-twist. I always want to go straight to the plot twist, but I have to do a build up first, and it annoys me so much.
6. When you’re writing an emotional scene, whether happy or sad, how do you get in the mood?
Generally by listening to music. Upbeat music for upbeat scenes, sad music for sad scenes, and so on!
7. How do you handle criticism?
I’ll be completely honest. I get upset. I start to think if I’m a bad writer. But then I take what they say into account when I re-read my work. I end up improving, so that I am able to become a better writer!
8. How much world building do you do before you start writing?
A lot. I like to make journals, or whatever I can get my hands on, to be filled to the brim with details about the universe I created!
9. On a typical day, how much time do you spend on writing?
Not too much time. My motivation comes in bursts of energy, so I do most of my writing at once and improve on it later!
10. How many book shelves are in your house?
I still live with my parents, because I’m a minor, so I’ll answer what I have in my room! Only one at the moment!! I typically go to the library instead of buying books! If I really like a book, then I do end up buying a personal copy of it!!
11. Do you find it easy to share your ideas and writing with other people?
No. Not at all. I’ve had not so great experiences, and usually keep to myself about my writing ideas. I will be sharing a couple of my past ideas here!! As well as my characters from different universes that I have written!
12. What is your perfect protagonist like?
Someone that can grow. A troubled person with a lot of problems that gets worse before they get better. So, usually characters that have a lot of character development!
