Have slaves ever tried going hunger strike as a protest?
Not yet, but if someone would try, Milton would have no qualms to have him force-fed (either manually or through an IV). He doesn’t take shit and has no patience at all.

I'm sure Milton has a few nicknames he hates too ;) Lord Milly, Lord Stick-up-the-arse
Okay, firstly, Milton doesn’t consider these to be nicknames. They’re insults, and nothing else. He doesn’t have nicknames. But he’s been called... well... a lot.
But this list - however you wish to call it - would be awfully incomplete without @mr-lusic ‘s memorable and unforgettable “Lord Manners” and the iconic flourishs of @americanxsin , and I quote: “reject Oscar Wilde”, “cocksuckin’ piece of shit scum eatin’ Yankee Doodle Faggy cum guzzler”, “twistedrich type of asshole hedonist” and “OscarWilde’s sicko little brother”. Mhm. Yes. Good.
What would the "perfect" slave be like?
Milton’s perfect slave is highly intelligent, capable of keeping up with his master’s intellect. The perfect slave is sophisticated and well-mannered. He is utterly respectful, and obedient, of course.
The perfect slave is capable of maintaining Milton’s interest. He is interesting enough that Milton doesn’t get bored, and obedient enough that he doesn’t get angry. The perfect slave has some spirit. He isn’t some broken toy. Preferably, he is versed in literature or another form of art, maybe even multi-lingual, certainly educated. A musician, a dancer, an athlete, painter… you get the drift. The perfect slave is strong, potentially capable of dominating weaker slaves, too. Milton enjoys to corrupt specially chosen slave, to drag them into darkness. He is multi-facetted, and a dark spark in his soul is helpful to keep Milton’s interest. Dark secrets are a plus too, because it means Milton can explore them.
The perfect slave is highly creative, and shows initiative when it comes to entertain Milton. He offers entertainments (not only of sexual nature but also culturally and intellectually or just by being cruel towards other slaves with Milton’s permission), he provides “games” and keeps Milton amused. He offers himself, but isn’t necessary “slutty”. While Milton enjoys the dramatic in sexual pleasures, but he doesn’t like it to be dirty or vulgar most of the time.
But that’s just the “perfect” slave.
A good way is creativity and initiative. Being not a total dumb, single-minded idiot helps. Showing strength (without being disrespectful or disobedient) is a big plus.
Describe a day in the life of Milton Bentley, Lord of the Dicks
Milton loves clear structures and schedules. So unless he is away or needs to reschedule (both of which he hates, but it’s sometimes simply necessary and not to avoid as he owns a few companies) Milton enforces a very clear daily routine.
He doesn’t need much sleep. Four hours are his standard.
Milton gets up at 7am, showers and grooms himself, checks the news and prepares for the day which often involves a talk with his butler regarding the organization of the mansion life.
Breakfast is served at 8am sharp.
After breakfast (which all slaves have to attend), Milton tends to his several businesses. He delegates a lot of work, and has people who take care of his companies (he owns two distilleries, a vineyard, a few smaller businesses and his pet project: his international art trading company), but of course he is the kind of control-obsessed person who needs to make sure that everything is going smoothly. He spends the time after breakfast in his office at the mansion (or on-site), making calls, checking on his companies, signing paperwork and things alike. During the weekend, he enjoys to spend this time of the day in his library or he goes horseback riding.
Milton prefers to spend lunchtime alone, and without his slaves. Sometimes this will be outside of the mansion, sometimes he will have lunch at home. It is usually not a very abundant meal.
After lunch, Milton continues with his work. (The exception would be the weekend, when he tends to his private zoo of exotic animals or his horses, indulges in horseback riding or fencing.)
Afternoon Tea is served at 5pm sharp (duh), and he will sometimes invite some uncomplicated slaves that are capable of entertaining him with a conversation or more. Between Afternoon Tea and supper, Milton either spends the time reading, playing the violin or piano, tending to his animals, or with one or two slaves of his choice (either for amusement or training purposes).
Supper is served at 8pm sharp. All slaves attend supper. Milton enjoys to feed his favourites by hand (or uses it as an act of humiliation). It is usually his favourite part of the day. The meals are exquisite and abundant, and he hates it when his dinner time is spoiled or interrupted. It’s nearly unheard of that Milton reschedules dinner (unless he is out of town).
After dinner, things get truly enjoyable for Milton. It’s the time he spends with his slaves, either training them or watching them. It’s time for fine wine and orgies and his very special entertainments. Which usually involves sadistic sex and torture. Sometimes there will be an orgy with everyone in the slaon, sometimes he will withdraw with his favourite and spend the time in a separate bedroom. Sometimes he will sacrifice his time to train a particularly resilient one.
How long this will take depends on Milton’s mood and the slaves, of course.
After this special entertainment (which is sometimes around midnight, sometimes much later), Milton refreshes or showers and withdraws to his bedroom, where he reads for a while, has another glass of wine or tea before he goes to bed at 3am.
As I said, Milton doesn’t need much sleep. Although the daily routines at the mansion are like a clock work, he does like to check on his slaves during the day, however. They are expected to keep themselves ready and prepared at all times, after all.
He doesn’t like any disturbance of his schedule, and his mood will sour when his routine is interrupted. One reason he carries his fob watch at all times.
Does Milton prefer completely innocent slaves who are all but a blank canvas to shape and mould or more rebellious type who needs breaking in?
Milton doesn’t have a preference in this regard. Both can be very satisfying in his opinion. It depends on his mood and on the slave’s other personality traits.
What Milton despises are boring slaves (whether obedient or rebellious, innocent or experienced) or predictable slaves. He prefers his boys creative and not too passive. Passive slaves tend to bore him quickly. (On a different note: they’re also harder to write with <.< )
But other than that, it doesn’t matter if the slave is innocent or experienced, obedient or rebellious. (The chances for a rebellious one to be passive are very low, though.)
Have slaves ever tried to destroy the mansion? Destroying priceless artworks?
It would be difficult for them to destroy the mansion. Most of them lack the means. Or they’re simply shackled <.<
There was one thread, a long time ago, when another muse painted on Milton’s wallpapers. That was bad enough. For both of them, actually...
But usually, no. Nobody in his right mind would try unless they want punishment. The consequences would be severe.
Milton's favourite book?
He doesn’t have THE favourite book.
Milton is awfully elitist and arrogant.
He sticks to “real literature”. He hates the romanticists. Modern literature disgusts him. His preferred periods in literature stretch from the Renaissance to the storm-and-stress-period. Most poets and writers after that he considers to be inferior.
If he’d have to name favourites it would be Shakespeare in his mother tongue, Molière in French, Goethe (Faust!) in German. He loves to show off that he’s fluent in different languages <.<
Ok so has Milton ever gotten so drunk he was well 'amusing'
Unfortunately not, no.
Once upon a time, there was a thread about Milton having a horrible, horrible riding accident which tied him to the bed for a long time. The idea was to have Milton super high on painkillers and meds and idly petting his slave’s hair while telling amusing stories of how he tortured animals as a kid. And, well, be generally more talkative and open and honest.
But by now I’m pretty sure that thread was dropped, which makes me very, very sad. It would have been awesome to have a high Milton.
Other than that, with the right “guidance” Milton IS intrigued by the effects of cocaine and under certain circumstances, he would like to try ;)
