Due to WoLparty time-line fudging shenanigans I have been vibing pretty intensely with Raer and Estinien being co-Azure Dragoons in the way more mundane sense.
Aymeric gets an Azure Dragoon who will go to the fancy parties. The Order get a Commander who is... present. Estinien gets more time to Nidhogg hunt. Raer actually kind of likes boring paperwork. It all works out.
This is absolutely the best picture I've ever taken of Raer. Nothing will top this.

Name: Raer Angathril (Eorzean)/ Kusakari no Ryoma (Doman)
Nickname(s): A handful of the Dragoons, including Estinien, refer to him as 'Angathril'.
Age: 30 - ARR, 36 - EW
Nameday: 27th Sun of the Third Umbral Moon
Race: Raen Au Ra
Gender: Male
Orientation: Gay
Profession: Formerly a botanist, a hunter and the Azure Dragooon. Currently a Warrior of Light.
P H Y S I C A L A S P E C T S
Hair: Pale pink in colour. Short and choppy, as if he cut it himself with a sword or such and then someone else (Tataru) helped him fix it. He sometimes ties it back when he's cooking or gardening but he's mostly content to leave it loose.
Eyes: One pink eye and one grey eye, the latter of which has no limbal ring and seems to tilt slightly. They carry the brunt of Raer's sincerity, so he often keeps them downcast when he is nervous (which is often).
Skin: Warm light-umber with off-white scales. He has many callouses, scars, marks and creases owing to a life of hard-work battling monsterous foes.
Tattoos/scars: Lots of scars from various different hunts. His most prominent ones are a three slashes on his upper-right arm from his fight with Nidhogg and a long slash across his chest and torso courtesy of Zenos.

Parents:
Kusakari no Shunrai, a samurai once in service to a Doman Lord who is believed to have died in the Garlean Invasion of Yanxia.
Haname Angathril, a botanist (and former Doman rebel).
Marcette Blackburn, a half-elezen botanist and close friend of Haname. She is a step-mother to Raer in all but relationship status to Haname (they are working on it).
Siblings: Muireann Uais (@whatsthisascianbullshit) who adopted Raer when he first moved to Hyrstmill.
Grandparents: None at time of writing.
In-laws and Other: In the Wolpartyverse, he is in a relationship with Estinien as of Endwalker. In the blorboverse, he is in a relationship with Ancel Louvre (@hermits-hovel) as of Shadowbringers (hopefully lol)
Pets: His chocobo Flemmard would bristle at being called a pet but he has been Raer's companion since he was a teenager.

Abilities:
Dragoon - Chosen of Midgardsormr: Raer's inner dragon was awoken when he made contact with the the dragon Midgardsormr. Though it was not an amicable meeting, Raer earned the trust of the wyrm through his deeds as the Azure Dragoon by showing compassion and consideration towards the dragons he met.
Black Magic - Voidcall: Raer is unusally proficient in the art of Black Magic. Since taking the staff up, he has experienced some unusal pull towards the Void portals he so frequently encounters.
Echo - Sanctum: Raer's Echo allows him to project an aura of reassurance and comfort to the people around him. While it has not strictly served him in combat, it does do a lot to build people's trust in Raer very quickly.
Hobbies: Chief of all Raer's hobbies is cooking but he is also a keen gardener and fisher.

Most Positive Trait: Kind, steadfast, compassionate.

O T H E R D E T A I L S
Smokes: A pipe on occasion - it appeals to his Inner Dragon.
Drinks: Socially. He dislikes the sensation of being drunk but has still indulged on occasion. Generally he is a "glass of white wine with dinner" kind of guy.
Drugs: He has never thought to but could probably use some fogweed every now and again.
Mount Issuance: Flemmard dislikes being a bird of burden so Raer is more inclined to walk.
Been Arrested: Never. But with the company he keeps it's bound to happen at some point.
