F'lhaminn is something of a mentor to the fledgling songstress/idol and is someone Sami has always admired. (I'm still working through the ARR patches with her so while I've ideas about other close bonds - I've not 100% settled on them yet)

Words cannot express how excited I am by this mount existing - it is probably the closest I'm going to get to the flying solo-stages from AKB0048 for Sami which would be her canon mount for a Lot of her story (and in particular most of the shared AUs that she's a part of)

And they're most likely locked behind the chaos alliance raid >.<

But like I've gotta try get one for Sami eventually because she deserves her flying stage to shine on

I've already answered this for Muireann the last time I had energy to tackle asks so I'm going to take this opportunity to talk about beloved idol of my heart Sami ^^;

The biggest change would have been if she didn't follow the desire to share her songs with the world and stayed in her little town on the outskirts of Thanalan. While Sami's dreams have grown as she's gone on adventures, met new people, and had a whole world of possibilities open up to her, stay-at-home-AU Sami would have stayed with smaller dreams.

I don't think she would be unhappy, but she would have had to deal with a lot more people telling her she wasn't living up to her potential, which is annoying. She likely would not have taken up conjury or discovered her calling as a healer.

Other decision points like whether or not to join the Scions would not have changed her life's trajectory too much - once she struck out as an adventurer she was bound to join the Scions sooner or later. The big change is whether or not she would take that initial leap of faith in herself.

What emotion is the hardest for your OC to process? How about express? For Sami

I think the hardest for Sami to process is grief, she was pretty young when the Calamity hit and didn't really have to face loss until after she joined the Scions. It was jarring to go from never really having to deal with death and loss (at least outside of being too young to really remember) to suddenly having to deal with a huge loss and also go on the run.

In terms of what she struggles with expressing, frustration certainly is up there but I think envy and jealousy is there too. Particularly when it comes to being taken seriously, she is jealous of Alphinaud's public speaking skills that she simply does not have unless she's singing (which...doesn't lend itself well to being taken seriously in a war room). I'm certain she'll at least get better, just working out how exactly it'll come about will take some msq progression XD

I am working on trying to make a carrd to make this shorter but brain power is limited lmao

I love my WoLs, other WoLs, the story, the lore, shared AUs, regular AUs, the list goes on so while not an RP blog I do try to do ask games and the like (time & energy permitting...I have a bit of a backlog)

I tag expansion-specific content with “ffxiv: expac name” and when there’s something particularly spoilery I try to tag “expac name spoilers”. Tagging specific patch spoilers is a little more iffy - especially for anything before EW seeing as I flew through from the Garuda fight to the end of Shadowbringers patches in just a little over a year.

My main WoLs I will be posting about are my main girlie Muireann Uais and the idol magical girl of my heart Sami Fashonti, I’ve got a couple of others but these two (and their various shards) are who will most likely be showing up. More info on them under the cut ^^ (contains spoilers up to patch 6.2)

Muireann Uais

She/her // SMN main // power knowledge hungry gremlin // ~ adventurer ~

Blurb-o: Insatiably curious with little regard for her own safety, Muireann will do quite literally anything For Science. Typically found with her nose in a book or up to her elbows at an archaeology dig hunting for the secrets of lost magical arts, her thirst for knowledge (and power) is tainted with a deep, debilitating fear of losing any of her ever-growing family.

Though initial impressions (outside of combat) are of a well-mannered young lady of the Shroud, she is quick to judge and anger, slow to forgive, and can hold a grudge for years. If first impressions are through combat, an academic field she’s interested in, or the benefits of expressing emotions through giant sharp weapons, Muireann has a much more feral energy.

Muireann has a chronic condition which causes pain and fatigue and as such she generally teleports or travels by mount and is followed around by one out of her collection of carbuncles, egis, and fairies at any given time.

Muireann was born Ralenne Canaux and due to a short series of misunderstandings as a child, believed she needed an “adventuring name” in order to pursue her dream of traveling the world and helping people as an adventurer. Muireann Uais is the name she decided on.

Pandora, fall of Allag: (The Allagan Tempest) Allagan scientist and administrator, overlooked and underestimated her whole career. Responsible for most of the atrocities on Azys Lla. Does not live long enough to make good on her promise to Tiamat to make amends after being awakened and seeing the horrors of Allag for what they were.

Ufufu Ufu, War of the Magi: (magiposting) A scholar of Nym desperately trying to stem the progression of the green death amongst her colleagues. Responsible for maintaining the wards on Wanderer’s Palace after it was sealed before the flood.

Barbariccia, the 13th reflection: yeah look I’m being extremely self-indulgent here but there are themes and unhinged and violent power hungry woman is a big one.

Euterpe, Ancient: A young protégé of Venat, Euterpe was very young when she was given the title of Azem. Her enthusiasm and love of all living beings and the star itself was the defining characteristic of her time on the Convocation. While previous Azems gave reports on their travels, Euterpe instead preferred to learn songs from people she met or compose new songs to capture the essence of particularly beautiful and different places. This non-standard approach to her work clashed with the expectations of her self-appointed mentor Emet-Selch.

3. What is your oc's favorite food?

Not me answering asks from.....many months ago ^^;; Thank you @tallbluelady (for some reason I can't tag @raynshyu??) This had me stumped for ages because I had never thought about food in-game other than stat and xp boosts but letting it ferment a bit actually let some rare Wyn lore bubble up XD

Muireann's favourite food is mochi with mun-tuy bean filling. It's not exactly a dish that can be bought easily as it is something Illiette and Haname (@azure-dragonsinger ) devised. Her attempts to recreate it herself (or rather trying to explain the sweet-but-savoury-and-ever-so-slightly-bitter flavour profile she remembered to her friends at the Bismark prior to ARR starting) have all ended in disappointment.

Wyn's favourite food is sweet & sour anything but she's particularly partial to monkfish. Fried scampi is a close second so it depends on how long she's willing to wait.

Sami's favourite food is ice-cream - especially honeycomb ice-cream with frozen bananas chopped over it and some caramel sauce. Extremely sweet and cold, but I figure she finds cold food and drink more comforting as I'm imagining her living somewhere on the outskirts of Thanalan.

1 - Are they associated with a certain color? what color do they wear the most?

While I think I've had glam plates with most colours for Muireann I always keep coming back to purple and a rich, dark green is a close second. Purple just because it matches her hair and makes her skin look a bit more purple-grey which is what I thought she had thanks to whatever way I had my colour settings saved on my old laptop lol Green is a callback to the shroud but also the level 50 SMN coat (specifically the emerald green recolour rather than the evoker one you start the set of at level 45 because that was the first gear piece that made me like green on her). Black is also something I put her in quite a bit, but mostly that's with Edgy Glams. With a couple of exceptions, she is usually in dark, rich colours - probably in part to co-ordinate with her crafted jewellery and a resulting influence from growing up in an underground settlement.

Sami is still in ARR so I've not had a whole lot of gil to experiment with different looks, I tend to put her in combinations of pale blues and white, darker but less saturated blues, reds, and pinks. She's due a bit a a rework with the free fantasia at the end of ARR and I'll probably change her skin colour to be a bit easier to work with -at the moment the pale pale blue makes her really washed out depending on the weather/filter/light settings especially if I'm trying to get a shot of her in one of her darker glams >.< In general though, she's generally in bright or light colours - better to stand out when she's performing ^^
